Was trying to tidy up things behind the dash, electrical wise, and I had forgotten that the Vu-Din has a separate wire for the power and the remote. Is there anything keeping me from putting the power and remote wire together? Also the remote wire is being fed from my distro block, through a relay, so I wouldn't be trying to power the Vu-Din off of the remote from my hu.

That's what I was thinking too. Steve is a pretty generous guy when it comes to helping people or doing something to put a smile on someone's face. I could see him giving it to Antheny maybe later on, but to everyone it will always be "Steve's Tahoe."

the $100K part isn't what was funny to me, it was the fact of one guy being like "Hey, ask your dad to give it to you" and the other guy saying that Steve has to much money invested, that he ain't handing over shitWhat so funny about it?
There probably is over $100k invested in that(counting the cost of the truck itself.

Official member since Nov 2013, lurker since probably 2011. Really glad I found this forum, it's definitely the best car audio forum, and probably the best online forum overall IMO. Just want to thank all of the awesome people on here that helped create it, and posted builds that helped me and everyone else learn that car audio isn't something that kids do to piss off adults, it's a hobby and a passion.

Personally I haven't seen a 35SPL or 40SPL. I was under the assumption that the XS30K was the largest that they produced. Why not just purchase two 30's?

Whoa that is amazing, I would say you definitely changed his life and I'm sure he's super happy. I've always had a ton of respect for you Steve, but now I have even more! It's always nice when you can so something for someone, and you can tell they really appreciate it.

You're the man, Steve! I think it's pretty awesome that you want to help the guy out. Most people would just go up to him and start laughing at his set up, which would be pretty messed up for someone to do that. Oh and I second the fiberglass enclosure idea. Idk about bass wise, but I figure the dude would be happy with a couple weather resistant coaxials in a cool looking enclosure

I use Spotify to listen to music. Rockford Fosgate has the 3sixty.3 tracks on there, which you can use with the dd-1. I play over Bluetooth, so I played the track, set my phone on full volume, and set my gains. My gain settings were different from when I was using the cd, but whether or not the signal is 100% clean, I don't know.
