It probably is. You can google it and there is tons of photoshopped images, or maybe someone makes some as a gag.

It does make it so much easier. It's a shame that some people just don't care about the people that have to come behind them and figure out the mess that they've made, but some honestly just don't care. Same thing with sytems, I'll have someone bring their vehicle to my house because something isn't working right and it will look like a rat's nest.

I do electrical work and when I saw the green my mind said "ground" and then my OCD kicked in about circuit wire colors lol
Yeah I know but it was all the Solid core wire I had sitting around to try!!! Didn't want to buy a roll of White & Blue and it not work out for me! LOL Then again the electrical work I do them colors wold tell me 24vdc or 120vac hot (Blue) and 120vac neutral (White) I guess audio stuff can be FLEXIBLE on the color's! LOL
same here lol back when I was taking my motor controls class, people would always ask me why I used specific colors for specific voltages and controls and would ask if it really mattered. Everyone besides myself would use only one color, and a lot would use green for their power wires and their neutrals. It got on my nerves pretty bad lol

Few questions
-have you ever ran an amp at .5 ohm
-do you have the electrical to back it up
-do you have a need to run it at .5 ohm
12k is a bridged amp.... two smaller boards..
I know chode runs his low.. but.... i wouldnt..... no way... its like bridging a amp half rated.... fuck that..
so you're saying that it would be like bridging at .5 ohm and each side would see .25 ohm?

If I understand what you saying then yeah it will work. It may just be a coincidence that the fixed ones have worked for me or maybe since they're Rockford Fosgate they are good quality. I don't really know, maybe someone else who knows a little more than I will chime in, but I think it would be worth a shot at least.

I've had that happen once on an install where someone bought a crappy LOC (people buy whatever and then come to me to install it). Couldn't ever get the thing to work right, Idk if it's anything to do with them being adjustable, but I can only get the fixed output ones to work.

Did you end up still wiring them with solid wire? If so, I'm ready to see how that turned out
