    I have always liked both Mechman and DC power. For about half a year I wanted a DC power alternator, but I'm now leaning towards a Mechman because of how much faster the shipping is, how they handle customer service, and the amount of professionalism you can feel by just looking at their shop. By all means I would buy a DC alternator if I found a used one for sale, but I would buy the Mechman brand new. And if I want it painted, I'll just get out the damn airbrush. They both make great alternators, and I hate seeing it turn into a pissing match.

    OP, great purchase, I can't wait to get one for myself :drinks:

    yah that 3 days to get my alternator after ordering it from DC was pretty slow coming from california to indiana. :pardon:

    Think what you want, but when Mechman bashes DC Power every chance he gets I will respond.

    So what exactly are you getting at?

    Ive ran ohio Generators, got robbed from Iraggi for $600, and had 3 mechmans fail on me, sure he was quick to fix them, and make good on them and even shipped a alt asap so Id have it to get my certified score... But when you spend countless dollars on an alternator you expect it to at least last a few months, not only a couple weeks.

    When I buy a product, I want it to perform as it claimed to be. Not be broken down countless times on the side of a highway getting towed back home.

    Warranties are nice and all, but when you buy a great product, there should never be any need to use that warranty!

    So Im not being biased in any way shape or form.

    All 4 dc power alts Ive purchased tho work flawless.

    been in the same boat as you. but i just went ahead and rebuilt my own mechman alt since a GM is a pretty simple rebuild. never had issues after that. its electronics anything can happen or fail. BUT i wont disagree my DC alt on my truck is by far the best ive ever owned from ohio gen, iraggi, mech, personal built. the XP design is bulletproof but of course it still uses stock oem parts as well but not your typical stock GM style parts.

    came up with a different design for more cone area and as long as i can squeeze 200 cube shell in the van i can do a 2 to 1 4th order :)

    already drew somethign up really quick but obviously just ideas in my head. looking at some old school pictures of older setups back in the day gave me a few ideas to try.

    its hard to see because the way i had to do the baffles inside the port i had to use a line to go at an angle to get the baffle to show up so it looks like a bunch of angles but it wouldnt be. it would be 2 baffles on bottom and 2 on top. flares open when it comes to the front.

    i sell old equipment. old parts/cars. shit i have laying around. trade things here and there when its a good deal in my favor. i work 40+ hrs a week and i save save save and save even more. and it helps i won 1500 at the chicago show i went too.

    honestly it takes me time to afford what i want but i save what i gotta save. i have tons of debt i should pay off but instead i buy car audio. kinda dumb because im throwing money away in interest but hey at least im having fun

    it really is run (i run cross country, i actually have collages looking at me for it)

    now where would i find info on this kinda softball since we dont have these fancy things in hell town pa... cuz i miss playing ball

    my mom is 57, no idea on weight... nah, im not even going to guess lol. but she looks like she is 40. survived 2 different types of breast cancer, the second one was found just after the 1st one was gone. she is perfectly healthy, not a thing wrong with her and she is as sweet as can be. not at all afraid to stand up for herself though.

    she can instantly get rid of your headache by holding one of your hands.

    and shes fucking psychic! lol she is in another state and i tell her i cant find my DMM, i wonder if i left it at the house. she says "i bet its under your seat"... it was lol. but she does that ALL THE TIME. its scary.

    in that case your mom > my mom. survived 2 types thats just impressive
