About Me

Its about to get Quiet.

Whats going on. i have ran through my fair share of systems over the past few years since i started my adventures. These systems will be listed below to be laughed at. This is all.

First ever system: Rockford Fosgate R1 12" in a prefab 1 cube sealed box, on a kenwood 360/2 amp, on a kenwood kdc-140 deck with nothing on electrical. Year 2009. GG...

Next system consists of me thinking i upgraded: Visonik 12's in a prefab dual circle ported box, tuned to god knows what, on a visonik 1000 watt peak mono amp, same terrible deck, no upgraded electrical. Siggh....

Mmmm.. After that i went namebrand.. Sorta: 15" Memphis 600 watt peak sub, i custom built it a terrible 3 cube box. The bigger the better with no tuning in mind.. (what a noob).. Sitting on the same 1000 watt peak visonik amp. Some how it bent and broke my rear view mirror.. GG.

Trying to hold back tears at this point: bought a 15" Kicker CVR off sonic, (finally a dvc presence) put it in that 3 cube box i built and bought a fosgate r500-1 and rolled down the block thinking i was a super hero. 500 rms. Woo... Same deck, no upgraded electrical...

Man this is killing me: Sold that to get a Kicker L7 15"... took a power saw to my box to fit the square in.. (50 minutes later, ohhh it fits)... Bought a hifonics 1000.1 amp off sonic, thought i was the god of bass. Same deck no upgraded electrical...

Mmmmm, sold that l7 in box for 300 bucks.. somehow. bought some alpine type r 10's in a 32 htz box. Went back to good ol sonic, bought a hifonics brutus 1200.1. Same deck, no upgraded electrical. At this point, i thought i had the best system ever... Mmm...

Hhh... blew those woofers, got a fosgate T2 12, and a T1000.1bdcp... Stuck the woofer originally in a pre fab ported belva box.. then built one at 35 htz. i attended every audio competition thinking i was top shit. At this point i had a alpine CDA-9887 deck on a yellowtop, and a DC POWER 180 amp alt.

Sold that woofer in box, bought a DC AUDIO LEVEL 4 M2 D2 12, got a custom box built for it sitting at 31 htz. still on that T1000.1bdcp, same deck, same electrical. I thought at this point that nobody was louder then me..

Aaannnyyywwaayyy, sold that... bought a RE MT 12 driver, on a Fi BTL Recone in a 29 htz box on a DC 2k, same electrical.. hit 142 in a subby trunk on a 35 htz sandbag. Wasnt too bad for a single woofer i guess no seal.

Sold that, moved onto an AA Mayhem single 12, on the same dc2k. Managed the exact same score as the re mt, killed that woofer from low voltage Woowee, sold the dc 2k and bought an AB500.1.

Purchased d3400 battery, 200A alt, tons of ofc skyhigh 1/0, and got to work on the ab500.1 install. Purchased two dc audio xl 12's full upgrades. Including carbon caps. Threw together a 3.01 cube box, 36htz port on them, managed a 146.7 out of the trunk nowall, noseal, was pretty impressed, blew the woofers, sold the motors, been out of the audio game for a while.

Currently working on my buddy's Quad zv4 18 build in a ford expedition on ab750.1.. Our 4th order managed a 151.2, this 6th order that we are putting together we hope will do a 153.

Build log right here: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197481-expedition-quad-zv4-6th-order-attempt-first-time/

Quiet for Lyfe.
