UPDATE: It is the PAC adapter. I hooked up the dd1 to my rear 6x9's and play track 1. I was clean all the way up to 32 out of 40. What are my alternatives to the PAC to send clean signal to my bass amp?

Can I test the HU volume by using the rca that I have coming into the amp? Grounding the DD1 and using placing the + lead on one the rcas?

It seems to be okay. I feel like its an issue with the PAC adapter that is causing the distortion. When I turn the levels all the way down it does not show any signal on Track 1 and if I turn it even a little it distorts, sometimes without showing a signal. I guess I need to test the factory amp and see if my theory is correct.

I tried changing the battery and it stopped showing the 40 and 1k tones at the same time. But I still made a video of what is going and I cannot figure it out. The thing that bothers me is that is the deck is distorting around 12 or 13 and sometimes I can turn it past and then it shows distortion. In order to get it to undistort I have to turn it all the way down and restart the process... Might be a dumb question but how do I use the DD on the factory mids ands high amp? I turned the screws all the way to the left. I turned it up and it does not detect a signal and then it just randomly shows distortion. It would show distortion at different volumes each time i tried. I tried turning it up a little and it would show both the 40 Hz and 1K Hz tone were active and distortion, I was playing track 1.... Im confused.

Deck EQ is flat. I don't believe I can adjust the level on it.

I bought a DD-1 and I am trying to find where my factory deck clips in my 08 Acura TSX non navi. I am sending my bass amp signal using a PAC AOEM-HON20 and I was tuning from the amp. I followed the instructions and the DD-1 says the deck clips at volume 13 out of 40...seems wrong. Is the PAC adapter introducing some distortion into the signal? Any ideas on how to fix this?
