  1. Ok, so the kit came in, rather quickly actually once we finally got it shipped it out. Nathan also did his best to help ease the situation and make things right. So I got the wires cut down (which I have enough left over to build 2 more full kits for a Camaro) and started the install. Went well other than the fact my negative battery bolt is too short, so for the moment I have a "big 2" installed, Alt + to battery + and Motor ground to chassis ground. Even without the most important ground wire, I noticed a big difference in voltage in the car. I loaded up the electrical with radio on playing at a normal volume along with headlights, wipers, brakelights, AC and hazards. Before the upgrade, this would drop my voltage below 13v, no matter what RPM. All that on and it was at 13v steady at idle and jumped back up to 14v at 1200RPMs. Normal driving conditions which is typically just the radio on and I had a rock solid 14.4v (normally I could see a flucuation when using my turn signals) Tonight I wll get that bolt swapped out and complete the install.
  2. So, I ordered a Big 3 kit through Crutchfield (only because Sonic listed it as out of stock) Naturally, Crutchfield is very quick with shipping and updates. So after 24 hours I noticed my order was still pending, so I contact Crutchfield. They inform me that XS porducts ship factory direct and they will update me when my order ships. So I wait a couple more days. No response, still pending. I contact Nathan via the PM here and after a short mental debate, call their office. I spoke with one of their customer service people, whom I choose not to name. They look into the situation and after some stammering and hesitation, takes down my name and number to call me back. Well, 24 hours later, there was no return call. I call back to the office and get ahold of the same person finally. He explains there was a shortage at a warehouse and things should be sorted out in the next day or two. Nathan also PM's me back with the same explanation. Ok, so now I wait for an update. 9 days after my initial purchase, I contact the office again. The same sales person tells me he will get me a tracking number and call me back. I ask him to take down my email address and email it to me as it would be easier (and less likely I mishear a letter or number writing it down over a cell phone) Well, Friday goes by, Saturday goes by, Sunday I finally try to contact Nathan again to express my displeasure in the lack of communication. Well, today my product shipped out and Nathan has been in touch with me multiple times. Overall not the best experience, but Nathan assures me that my feedback to him helps tenfold over not saying anything at all and that they will work towards correcting the issues that caused this delay and how they handled the communication aspects as well. I certainly have had worse experiences from other larger companies where I couldnt get an answer from anyone about anything. Also, in defense of Nathan, he was unable to directly take care of the situation earlier due to being in Daytona for the Spring Break Nationals, which is understandable. Im not pissed or anything, just letting everyone know that sometimes things happen and they are doing their best to correct these situations, and I did let Nathan know I was writing this prior to posting. Im thankful he was prompt with his replies and tried to help as best he could. Even though I only bought a $50 wire kit, he didnt treat me any less favorable than someone buying multiple batteries. I will do a follow up once the kit comes in and I get it installed in the car hopefully by the end of the week.
