Any set-ups with these yet????
I might have to be the guinea pig then.

I'm also interested in these subs. Could they be used as traditional subs?
I was thinking about putting 4 of these, 4th order in my trunk.
Any suggestions or reviews online yet?

But idk why ppl with so much money would do stupid shit like this.

for your questions none of what you mentioned would work. just out up a thread in the enclosures section, put up your max demenstions and I am sure some one would be nice enough to make you a design
I made a thread like you suggested. I also found a website...The Box Guy....looks very good.

So I downloaded Sketchup and pulled up the spec and cut sheet for the E8 dual box.
I need my box to be maybe 4 or 5 inches shorter height wise. Can I take out 5 inches from the height and just add that back in to the length of the box.
Will this mess up the port lengths and change where the box is tuned?
I have plenty room width and length wise it's just the height that is too much.
Here is a screen capture of the box I want to run...
Here is what I am running now.

I ordered a Precision Power i450.1 Amp. Gonna run 450 watts to the sub @ 2 ohms. Should beat pretty nice i think plus I here they are pretty good amps.

Someone on youtube did a dual e8v3 6th order.. id say go for it haha. I ran my e8v3 in a t-line tuned to 32hz that I messed up (the line ended up being tappered, no expierence on tappered t lines and this was my first tline) and it sounded awesome. Great freq response, and got down low, loud ans clean. It was on a soundstream tx1300.1d @ 4ohms, says "550" rms. Probably around 450-500 plus rise so go figure. If in a regular ported box id say run 400-500 rms on it. Theyll take it no problem as long as you know what your doing. Id say go for the 6th for the hell of it.
No room for a 6th order box which is why I am wondering if this Mobile Soundworks box will be good for this speaker. Thanks for the wattage recommendation. I was planning on running 600rms to it.

This is my first post but I have lurked a long time.
I recently was given an E8V3D2 as a gift from my wife. She knew I was looking at these and she surprised me with one out of the blue. I was looking at a Mobile Sound Works 8" ported box but didn't know if it will work well with this sub.
and the specs....
- Single 8" custom slot-ported enclosure
- Compatible with most 8" round woofers
- 0.75 ft^3 slot-port tuned @ 34Hz
- Solid 3/4" MDF construction
- Durable dark gray carpet
- Gold-plated binding post terminals
- Box volume: 0.75 cubic feet
- Tuned to: 34Hz
- Woofer cutout diameter: 7" round (oversized subs may require slight mod)
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 24" x 9" x 13"
The dimensions are perfect as it will fit underneath the shelf when I lower the top. I have 35"x35"x10" to work with and the box will fit nicely. Will this box work well with this sub and should I point the port forward or towards the rear of the car.
Also any suggestions on RMS watts to run to the sub and Amp suggestions would appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance.....

So how hard does this box hit. What could you compare it to speaker wise. 2 12's....2 15's....even more. I now have 4 of these and want to build a box in the trunk of my very porting thru the rear armrest area.
