no this set up is in a different vehicle now on a different amp kicker zx350.2 does 110 watts at 4ohm per channel.

With the sa 6.5cs v2 component's how low can I safety set my hpf? My subs lpf is at 63hz 24db slope. Would hpf with the same settings be safe? I'm getting around probably 150 to 160 watts per side running the sundown passive crossovers also.

Lpf frequency start at 80hz work your way down till your happy with the sound. Subsonic filter 20hz. Don't use the punch eq at all. Gain that's a hard one really depends on your headunits pre amp voltage is and where your H.U max unclipped volume is . This is where a dd1 or o scope can help.

most likely, I went with -2.5db on the amp gain via dd1 so far so good.

but output is changed due to driver impedance and that is getting more or less power from the selection on the crossover.

my crossovers being a pain in neck to get to do you think going with the 0db setting on them would tone them back enough to keep it from happening?

I'm lost I never said I was trying to get louder! Just trying to maximize what I have. You are killing your tweeters because its not loud enough. Otherwise just turn the volume down a little.honestly don't understand your logic here. Everything is set flat no eq boost at all head until clip free at 40 out of 40 volume, I set made 39 my max, gain set with Sq track on the dd1. Steve himself has said once set you can go to your max volume trouble free. I would agree with you if I set using-10db it's to much. Amp is rated 120 Watts x 2 @ 4-Ohms so power should be a good match.

definitely but going with 0db on the crossover wouldn't that equal out the power with the woofer and help the tweeters from over working because +3db has to be over working them I believe.

yes I have the dd1 on the amp output not on the crossover. I'm basically I guess looking at if I'm setting my gain at -5db on the amp then having the tweeter on +3db it's stressing the tweeter over power? And robbing mid bass performance from the woofer.

On the sundown sa cs6.5v2 crossover it has for the tweeter +0db, -3db and +3db when using the dd1 to set gain on a rockford p300x2 should I do the tweeter on +0db? I ask because as of right now I'm set to +3db and at max volume set all with the dd1 my tweeterson will cut out dew to protect circuit.

Can the scv 1500d handle 0.5 ohm? I have seen that the larger scv line can do it fine.

it sounds like your amp is slightly too big for those mids/highs. That 300x2 is probably doing 400 watts. Get the proper sized amp or use the -5 to start with and back it down a little bit. I wouldn't use the 0db track. Personally, something like a -2 or -3 overlamp would be perfect for those IMO. been running this week at -2.5db thinking about trying the -5db now the sundowns should handle it is hope. I still have the kappas on each channel also running passive on the infinity crossovers. So total rms handling should be close to 200 watt per channel I believe.

Now I have to boost eq settings to do what the pioneers did set with -2.5db setting sound like with no eq boost.

I used the -2.5dB first then went to -5db and honestly the setup now with the sundowns just doesn't sound as loud as the old pioneers. Should I do -7.5db?
