I thought this was the alt that was supposed to do a ton @ idle? Im fairly certain its a 6 phase. Like the difference in 100 RPMs means output and no output??? Thats crazy!?

The pulley I am using is from Mechman and is noticeably smaller than my OEM one. I am afraid that with an even smaller pulley my belt will slip. Smaller belts are not available for my car unfortunately (7 rib double sided..)

Hey guys, I recently installed my new alternator in my 2001 VW Golf and it will not charge at idle, like it will literally gives no output, however, step on the gas and raise the RPMs 200 more and I go from 12.8 to 14.8 and it outputs lotss and lots of amperage as it should once the RPMs are up. Moral of story- 600 RPMs no output, 750-800 great voltage-output

I always ask the same about my amp and then am like.... oh wait box rise
