should i compete or not?

the car club wants me to compete in the soundoff at heatwave this weekend. when you compete your car will be on for a longtime (idle) in front of alot of people. problem is that my car smokes alot when i let it idle. you think that would be a embarrasment or nothing to worry about? The reason for th smoke is that the motor has alot of miles on it 218,000 give or take and the piston rings are worn.
I have tried stop smoke stuff and cylinder repair fluids but nothing stops it. some of the other members say that they wouldnt compete yet others say not to worry about it the fact is that im gonna compete and show off. I figured I would ask the pros here for advice.

Hey guys I have been trying to figure out how to download vids to the internet. Stuff like footage from my car club gatherings, etc. especially vids of my system going and recording my car flexing. Anyway the problem is that nothing is compatible with windows vista since its so new. I can save a project to the computer from the dvd. format the vids nothing.
so I was wondering if somebody could help me figure this out so i can post some vids in the videos section of the forums . Any help is greatly appreciated. -

just a word of caution...stock alternators on a car arent meant to charge 2 batteries. L7's are power hungry so i'd look into a high output alt if i was u...adding a second battery does nothing but give u more playing time when the car is off...

Yo wud up I'm Joe and I have been into car audio for about 7 years now. I am finally starting to be known in my city by other car audio fanatics which is a good feeling for me
I first herard about Steve Meade on youtube, then realm of excursion. I have since added Steve to my friends list on youtube and myspace. Needless to say I'm a fan of his work. I found out about this website from the videos he posted on youtube and here I am . -
yeah but whats better... people looking at and say "wow look at all those cheap 6x9s in his rear deck" or "may those type r's or what ever sounded great in that guys car" Looks are always something that comes afterwards... you want quality and sound... not just looks bro. I went though the same thing... i bought awhole bunch of cheap tens thinking that everybody was going to like the way they looked... they did but it sounded like shit... and the sound is what should be more important to you... just something to think about
good point, however i made that sacrifice with my dual 6x9's and 6.5's. although i do have to admit that they sound better than i thought they would but if i had better speakers it would sound better. nobody seems to take that into account when i go to car shows they seem to like tha fact that my speakers light up blue.

daaaaaaaaamn you gonna have more voice than me. i got (4) 6x9's (2) 6.5 and (2) stock 2 or 3 inch speakers plus the loud ass subs

if she waited for you for a year while she was 18. that means you had something alot of guys would kill for, but your happy now. and from the looks of things you got a louder system than me and im single.
