  1. Ok i have windows vista, and just downloaded some music. (yes its paid for) anyway three songs i downloaded are mp3 format and the rest are wav i have tried burning them as is and my cd player doesnt read them. so I switched the format to wma9, that didnt work, then I tried wma7 still nothing. whats the deal? when i switched the formats from wma9 to wma7 I burned over the same disc so im guessing that may be the problem. I know cds are wma format so im guessing i need wma7 since the options have for audio cd in that format. Anyway am i doing something wrong? What do I have to do to get these to work on other cd players?

  2. I think in a well designed box, all of them sound great, boxes have to do with how good your system is going to sound. Ive seen RF punch (p3) 3- 12" flex the shit out this truck with crazy lows

i think DD is the loudest you can go but i hear that they have a habit of breaking. as far as mtx ive never really heard a really loud mtx before, one of my member has three mtx 12's in his car and i could whoop him with just one of my L7's. not to brag or anything but we found that out the hard way. <_<

  3. so i got a box build coming up this weekend for 2 15"s Kicker Solo-barics.

idk if they are L7's L5's, or CVRS.

they have a black cone with a white s with red outline. the mag says Kicker on the bottom and Solo-Baric on the ttop.

i need to know what kinda enclosure these need as far as sealed cubes go, because he wants sealed and what the power ratings are.

    howz about a pic? :)

  4. i hate to say it but kicker can be owned by all 3 of those subs even the mtx

    i stand by my descision

(im a kicker fan so it hurts to say that)

Mtx? heeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllll no everybody i know says kicker is better ive heard mtx subs before they pound but dont sound as good. in the streets i get alot more respect than those with mtx <_<

  5. ill be at world finals till sunday :D

soooooo <_< anyway i tried what you said and sure enough the problem is fixed COMPLETELY, not only did it solve the engine noise but it took care of the voice speaker problem, AND now the entire system sounds crystal clear its unbelieveable the difference that putting a better ground made. Thanks alot to everybody that helped me yall some smart peeps. :D

  6. as far as i know, every pioneer ive heard with an amp, has had a noise somewhere except the dd truck at spring break nationals, which had the same flip out as mine.

and mastersound, does that wire run all the way from the front to back with the rca's?

yup it comes out at both ends its a tiny little black wire with a little metal ring at the ends i guess for like a little screw or something

  7. to ground the rca's is almost nothing. try grounding your head unit to bare metal (assuming you have it grounded into the harness). before that though, take a piece of wire, put it on the outer part of the sub rca coming off the head unit, and touch the wire to the case on the cd player. see if that goes away.

i used to have this problem, i upgraded my rca's. then i got a new head unit (pioneer flip out (what a coincidence huh pat?)) and i still had it. so i took my old ground loop isolator out, and the sub sounds better now. i got rid of the noise in the sub, but i still have the white noise in the speakers. im going to have to find a way to solve that. idk if grounding the rca's will help or not with speakers and not subs. i would think so.

let us know how it turns out.

actually its funny you mention grounding the rca's because the rca's i have right now have a little ground wire incorporated in them. im not the first owner of these and both me and the previous owners have never used the ground wire and they worked fine, in the meantime im gonna print out the post this post that i replyed to and see if that works.

  8. I've seen the same problem recently with 2 pioneer flip outs. Just shitty interconnect grounds like bumpin said.. I also have been loyal to pioneer in the past, but I have recently switched to alpine, no problems there.

now alpine ive been hearing alot about lately a bit expencive since im going in dash now or at least hope to. B) the only problem is that i need a player within one week but am flat broke. grrrr
