Guys, maybe were going about this all wrong, maybe that amp is the last piece of the puzzle, maybe once he puts that on his audiobahn woofers in his prefab box from his "music" videos it'll be so impressive that all of our money was well spent..

if youre gonna spend a grand on a ~3k watt amp why not get something thats actually built well and will do rated for about the same price?

i dont know either of you but youre both rather reputable individuals on the forums it looks like, that might not mean a damn thing but the odds of an outright scam dont seem very likely. But either way, i would at least wait to see what fedex has to say about it and how theyre going to handle it before putting him on blast..

The direct leads are just that, an added length of 8 gauge wire instead of being soldered to push terminals.
The AR cone is a Kevlar type(maybe?) Carbon fiber looking cone that adds strength to the cone and an aesthetic appeal.
And the level 4 coil is just that, the level 4 coil and maybe an extra spider, I'm not sure on that don't quote me there.
They are not necessary upgrades but if you have the money then I'd say go for it. Couldn't hurt you, but if you're looking for power handling I'd step up equipment instead.
And as for the m3 8s those baskets are only available with the 8s and the higher level m3 model woofers.

Hey guys, I'm beginning building a box for a single level 3 18 and currently I have a tentative box volume of about 6.5 cuft net after all displacement and about 115 sq in of port area via aeroports at lengths so that tuning falls between 30 or 31Hz.
I know the recommendeded net volume is 5.5 so would 6.5 be too big? And what about the port area? What's a good range for an 18 in general or this one specifically, I've seen and read so many different things I figured I'd finally ask and get your guys' input.
