Price is pretty reasonable in my eyes, I wouldn't hesitate to send them any of my amps for repair.
Price may be descent but the cash input may be an issue, especially since the amp would be sitting dusted until I have use for it(no it wont be for sale, this ia20.1 is like a sibling to me).
Yea CIA engineering we need to do a tactical insertion on that place, Got a amp shipped directly to me from there, its like they have 2 people working in a residential basement fixing/repairing electronics.
Speaking of repaired amps, anyone who has had a larger amplifier fixed 2000w+ did anyone ever notice a decrease in performance because of replacement parts or a inability to press the amp to its near max?

Yea i understand with the way amps are, and understanding what happens when theres a "blow out" it may have to have most of the board replaced considering you cant just switch out the 3 mosfets and expect it to output like before.

Dbr has done me right time and time again,i had 3 rd d9s go out on me,after he repaired them i havent had one issue from them.He does good work and was fast as hell with mine,he turned everyone of my amps around in 1-2 days..sometimes like me sending it out on monday morning,him getting it wednesday morning,fixing it,sending it out wed afternoon and me having it friday morning..good communication and good repair prices,hes on my top 5 awesome car audio companies list for sure.I will always use him.
If i may ask what were the repair price?
Sort of feel likes im taking my car in for repairs here, figure its something simple for repairs, but it could turn out being charged a "flat repair rate' for something that my cost $100 with parts and labor. Not saying DB-r is unfair just wondering, especially since the guy who responded to me didnt mention "hey it may be less if we find out differently"

What is DB-r's rep, has anyone had anything repaired from them of a similar "blown" instance?
Told me $200 for half rebuild, or $250 for more than that. Direct from their assyst ticket. Feeling like thats a bit much.
"It likely needs a lot more than just 3-4 mosfets, we only do half or full rebuilds here. Half on this amp is $200, Full is $250."

IDK where kids think that because an amp states a RMS power rating that somehow they think they can double or triple the power by BRIDGING or CHAINING economy amps together. Instead of just buying one big amp to power their subs doing it right from square 1.

im also wondering this since i just bought a volt meter. if you have a second battery you'd think you would connect it there, but hopefully someone lets us know hah
Yea cause voltage can differ from front to back over like 12ft+
Just would be a pain to run like another 10ft of wire from your trunk/rear to your dash for the gauge.

Somewhere close to the amp would be ideal, so a battery in the trunk next to the amp would be fine, also if you can use a DMM to adjust the voltage gauge to get the most accurate reading.

Where do yall have your voltage gauge wired into? I heard some would connect to view off their front battery, then some had theirs wired to their battery bank. I personally had mine wired on the battery before my amp.
Whats the best place to accurately keep track of voltage? does it matter?

It's kinda sad when you have no IRL friends to rant to so I'll vent to you guys, here goes...
So there's this girl right? We've been together for 5 years exactly now. Like as of today, we started talking feb 14 of my senior year 2006. Well all was hunky dory until I decided to join the Army. This was something I've always wanted to do. Sounds cliche but ever since I was a kid, all I ever really wanted to be was a soldier. So I was all fuck it, I'm doing it. I figured we had planned on getting married at one point and this would be a perfect way to provide for us and do something I've always wanted to do. All was well until I made it to AIT. Somewhere in the silence, she decided she would rather be single. But tell me? Oh no no. Anywho, the day came that my Sgt came and told me I was being discharged because of my ankle. I didn't have a leaving date, but I knew I was coming home. So I told her. She wal all YAY OMG I cant wait. This was a Wed. The NEXT DAY I was offered a PT discharge which would get me home sooner and I could come back in 180 days, right? I took it and called her, not the next day and the tone went from OMG YAY to We have something to talk about. So I was tripping out my last weekend there. I made it back and long story short she told me that she had almost messed around with some random dude she met.
Okay, okay. We've been apart for a year now with conflicting schedules on the other side of the states. It kinda made sense. So we decided we would try to see if we grew together then.
Once again as far as I knew, I was doing great. You know, random flowers, surprise movies and dates. All the cute shit. Until one day I decided randomly to check up on her. Turns out she had been planning to dump me the whole time but "I was being too reasonable." I confronted her about it and she indeed verified it was true and actually told me that not the night before she intentionally cheated again, just to try it and get me to break up with her.
Well I did. But now 5 years of emotional involvement GONE for no good reason. Just because she wants to "See whats out there."
Well after a bit of separation and soul searching I started to talk to her again. You know, to see where it goes. And she was receptive. Everything was going really great until today.
Good ole Valentines day. I made sure to get the most beautiful flowers and cutest stuffed animal I could find. When I gave them to her she was speechless. Now I know why. I called her later, and told her that I never stopped loving her. Which is true, five years just doesn't up and disappear. And here it comes...
After hearing that she apologized for leading me on... Turns out she's going on a date with someone she's never met Tuesday. The whole idea of us talking again was to be completely open and if it wasn't gravy, to let the other privy to that and rework a game plan. But no. That so totally didn't happen.
Three strikes, man. I can't handle her anymore. It's officially done for. I'm sure I can find a nice girl someday that doesn't want to just use me a cannon fodder.
Oh and the best part. She's going on the date because, and I quote,
"Your job and your speakers are just boring. All you talk about are amps this and woofers that."
But it's cool.
The bass makes the pain go away.

I can speak of a story in which its similar of yours but it cost the guy about $15,000 and all of his years wasted. Dude was so upkeep about his girl, she treated him like shit, constant arguing, dude spent $$$$ on it. Killed his self esteem, literally i watched this kid incase of suicidal tendencies. Almost got kicked out of college becuz of her, he lost a $15 a job with potential for $20+ an hour wages because he slipped on his grades for the apprenticeship, inturn to be with her. She provided the kid nothing....
/And to think with such treatment one would want to still give up their heart and feelings to another human being on this earth in return for such treatment.

I know ive seen some vid of what people below tell me Pete(toxic bass) made a special box for a single 8" in a hatchback, and people thought there were 2 12"s or something much larger in the pack.

People glitch with the javelin so when u kill them the javelin automatically fires off, sort of like a suicide/martyrdom trick.

First tip, Add me Mafia films on xbox live to wipe out some scrubs
2nd tip - use the javelin glitch before it is fixed/patched
Scavenger perk, if you suck balls at aiming or getting the bead on someone use this with a grenade launched/thumper combo, kill some scrubs then pickup the backpack = re-toob the noob toobers.
UMP, this gun is underestimated, 9/10 i can run in 1 on 2 or 1 on 3 with the ump and scrub the scrubs hiding out camping.
FAL- use from a distance where campers peak in and out from their spot, 2-3 shots = instant death
1887 shotgun = pure hax04rs
Dual 1887 shot guns = ........dead
Going up against the scar/acr whores, use the vector or uzi to totally maime the competition.
Grenade whore? use the semtex to give you a clear path upon rambo flanking the whole team.
Overall use stun grenades as you can throw them faster than the flashes, thusly stunning multiple enemies upon running in on them head on.

Total BS, very good to run up and flank the team before they get positioned, or if ur shitty as hell aiming you can fire some poor shots, the race into cover, baiting the enemy to come to where u were and by then u can run around and sneak up on the poor chump.
If playing on rust, pure submachine gun, rapid fire, akimbo map, dual -90s - vectors etc. etc.
Killstreaks:
AC130 does have 3 diff weapons aboard, typically i shoot the big shell then switch between the other guns while reloading.
Tips to obtaining Nuke - killstreak of harrier, ac130/chopper gunner then nuke,
-some recommend to use scavenger to retain ammo, grenades to attack from a distance/cover
-noob toobs/camping style....
harrier can zip the shit out of unsuspecting enemies- by then u can easily have ur ac130/gunner and if ur lucky and no one shoots down ur harrier while your owning noobs with one of those ur harrier is getting kills as well. Typically this is how ive seen it done each time someone calls a nuke.
