Yes, upgraded soft spots. Rule of thumb, if you have to ask what a sub can handle, run what company RMS the subs at. Not being a dick, just saying.
Understandable man. Just wondering what people have been running successfully on it..

What do you mean by upgrades? Like suspension upgrades n such?

In a couple months i'm going to be moving to a car so I'm getting rid of my 2 SA's and getting a Sundown Zv4 12 or possibly a 15.
Currently I have my SQ2200D and will probably be getting another one to strap it. What I'm wondering is what kind of power these can actually take daily. I'm planning on tuning pretty low 27/28hz and not too sure what I should do. If everything sells how I want it to I may end up going with one of the new SCV3000's..

I had the same problem but I just did free shipping. It said processing for 2 days finally I called and had to verify address, and after another 4 days including a weekend and another phone call I finally got it shipped out. The guy said the last person I talked to didn't even update my address information so nothing changed.

Well I see a 3k in my future build..

plus the fact that $2,000 for a rig still has you playing on medium settings damn near. High if you are lucky. Ultra.....ultra not likely. hahah
You just don't plug shit in right.
i guess if you ration out EVERYTHING and spend a lot on a card.....you can get a good rig for $2,000 but not with a good monitor. Basically for a good PC you need at least $3,000-$3500 (including the monitor). A $2,000 tower on a $800-$1,000 monitor should be decent
Yeah I've always had a thrown together gaming PC that got by barely on low-medium settings, and figured 2 years ago It was time to go ahead and just build a great gaming PC. Around $2500 later, my mind was blown at the difference at finally being able to run BF3/4 Ultra at 90+ fps.. But I just built a rig for a friend and was shocked at how much performance you can get nowadays at under $1000 and still able to get 70+ fps in BF4 @ 1080p..

Don't get me wrong they make games for the consoles id love to play like KOH that is made for the PS systems but half the games are made for every system and I like the fact I can use a ps3 or xbox controller on pc games. I don't know I no I have my opinions like others i'm just a pc gamer im afraid id buy a ps4 and use it just a couple times and sit there and collect dust like my 360 lol.
It seems like this is what happens every time I buy a console. I wish they would bring Madden back to PC and even MLB the Show. Those are the only reasons I go back and buy a console every now and then.. Seems like at least once a year I would buy a console play it for a month or 2, then sell it off and go back to PC.. Did this a year ago with the PS3 Bundle for GTA V since they were holding off on PC version.. beat the campaign, played a month off Madden 25, then sold it too a co-worker and haven't gone back..... Yet..

Every time there's a console thread PC gamers come out of the woodwork.
It's because we spend too much time on the PC and try converting people... Sad lifestyle..
-
I think both gaming consoles suck in my opinion that's why I have a gaming pc it can pretty much do every thing a ps4 and xbox one can do
And do it better.
-
Not everybody has to drop 2k on a system though..

May I ask why PC is "out of the question lol"

2500w I would go with the Level 4s. They will give you room to upgrade should you want to go with a bigger amp like the DC 3.5k down the road without changing subs. Before you say you dont plan on upgrading, I said the same thing when I first bought a couple of JL 10s and a 1000w amp. 30kw and 8 15s later I still want more.
I don't know a single person that has said those vary words and actually never upgraded..

HAHA oh shit.. Doing this on mobile my bad I always click the wrong thing.. Fail.

Posting in the proper section might help.
I wasn't sure what section since I had a few different questions plus on input of which vehicle could be better..

Another question, where would be the best place to put my amp? When I build my box could I do 2-3 layers of MDF on one side and bolt my amp to it work rubber spacers?
-
I'm getting rid of my.97 explorer and wanting to either get an 03 S10 xtreme, or a Ford ranger.. I like the looks of the s10 inside and out but the ranger looks like it could have a little more room?
I plan on moving everything from my current build into the new truck, 2 SA 15s.and a Soumdqubed 2200. Ill be buying a new 300 amp alternator and head unit for the truck also..
Would the 2 SA 15s fit in either the s10 or ranger or would I have to Wall it off. And would that leave me enough room to have my extra Kinetik in the back?
I haven't seen many build logs in small extended cab trucks but the ones I've seen they were mostly blowthroughs..

I'm going to do some measuring tomorrow, my current box is 10 cuft gross, and double baffled (All the way around).. Plus once I move my battery and amp from behind my back seats I'll have some more room..
So i'd probably have to just double baffle the top piece, make some bracing inside, areo port, and maybe even invert the subs to squeeze every little bit I can..

#1 thing I hate about this damn hobby is how many times a day I change my mind.
Thoughts on getting another Soundqubed 2200, and 2 more SA 15's. But I don't think I have enough room for 4 15's. If I did I think the box would have to be tall as hell, or I would have to wall at the C pillar.. Are C pillar walls worth it, I would do it at the B pillar but I'd rather keep my backseats until I decide to get another vehicle.
-
I recommend the SA's also. I have 2 sa 15s and love em, just wish I would have tuned box lower instead of 37hz, I can handle anything from 30hz and up with no problem, but I listen to a lot of decaf which is a lot of lows.
-
I think I may just keep this box then save up for a Zv4 18.. Something to take more power if I plan to jump up to a q3500 later..
-
-
You'll lose output going from 2 15s to an 18. Just build a new box for the Sa's tuned to like 30hz
Yeah that's what I was figuring..
Got some questions on the Zv4's
in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!

Damn why'd you even have to bring that up! Now I'm thinking about changing my mind to the NS..
