did you try probing the alt output terminal with a dmm to see the output voltage?

I would start with the I.A.C. ( idle air control ) or I.S.C. ( idle speed control ) on throttle body or intake manifold area first.

It's not the tps, did you have any accessories on at the time like a/c, defroster?

No, hook it up like you have it in the picture. The amp will be @ 1ohm and each ssd will recieve 700-800 watts which is perfect. You can't get a 2ohm load with two dual 1ohm subs on the amp, they would have to be dual 2ohm subs and that would be pointless in your situation

Whats the deal for the small fusing? Are you putting smaller fuses in the amps and cranking them in short bursts till they blow? I know fuses dont blow unless at rated or above for an extended time. I see how that may be beneficial
