its going into thermal protect, which it's supposed to do when it reaches a determined temperature. so to answer your question, it is doing its job, so no need to send it in for working properly.
question to you is,...has it been hot ambient temp wise? and if so, i imagine your trunk is pretty damn hot inside.

its actually a D2 sub. so if wired in parallel, you will be at a 1 ohm load.
the number you were refering to was the direct coil resistence as measured per DMM. not the nominal impedance of the sub, which is the number you need to worry about.

Except being sponsored by that company, getting freebies, or even an amazing deal from the owner. Why do you put their company decal on your vehicle?
I see a lot of decals on peoples vehicle and I can't see everyone of those people getting freebies (amp,woofer,speakers),or is sponsored, or get a great deals like half off if it retails at $2000 or something high.

Just because that product is GREAT and you LOVE it, does not make sense to me just to wear their name on the vehicle alone.

Fairly certain its a BL, but what size is the sub itself..that would make it easier to identify via measurements..
deffinately NOT a BL. they don't have pole vents.
only Fi subs with a big pole vent motor and a flatwind option was the SSD model. could possibly be a hybrid of some sort, but motor wise resembles an SSD
