    I am not scared to speak but I got my story through a 3rd party and am fairly certain the story is accurate but I damn sure don't want to put it out there if it's not 100%

    ^^^this. until there is solid paperwork on the situation i dont think anybody is going to point fingers and drop names. thats how people get shot.

    Was just going to say this. I think even most of those in "the know" aren't even entirely sure of the whole story, and no one wants to be spreading untruths.

    That said I still think the whole point of the thread went right over so many heads....the specifics don't matter. Just watch your asses, always.

    I even think the sp4 is going to be iffy with a 4 inch coil. Might not push it over its rated power. Would be much easier with a 3 inch coil. People had issues with 10 inch subs with 3 inch coils and I think this will be the same

    I trust that Scott wouldn't put out something that wouldn't work mechanically. He's always said that he wouldn't produce it, if it didn't work.

    But back to the OPs post. 12 inch subs with a 4 inch coil are a real PITA

    10" Mayhems took a while to get right, but I can say firsthand they kick ass. No doubt these new 12s will be the same. Not even going to comment on the Lv6 though...

    Thanks for the compliments everyone, this was a big project from the beginning and a huge learning experience too. I was the one that tracked down the Donkey Kong for Steve, after telling him I follow him on YouTube and was a member here for quite a while I told him about my biggest interest. I showed him a few pics that I had on my phone but they didn't really show the scale of the room so I decided to post here. It's a blast to see kids that have never seen a real arcade walk in and get excited but its better when people who grew up in this era see it, you can watch their memories flood back in front of your eyes. I opened the room up last night for Halloween and had several people walk through, the kids on the racing games and adults playing Star Wars and the other classics. The arcade it open to anyone local, that's why I built it, so people can get together and have fun.

    Hat goes off to you, wish someone around here would do that ;)

    It's not all deadener. It's a combination of deadener, ccf and mlv

    This 100%. The purpose of deadener is to reduce/eliminate panel resonance. Closed cell foam is a decoupler. Mass loaded vinyl or MLV does just that, adds mass. Guys that do multiple layers are only achieving adding mass when they do it. Many guys think multiple layers are better, not knowing how deadener works.

    Read up on CLD tiles(butyl backed deadener), MLV and CCF , BEING used together.

    Bingo. Throwing more and more deadner in is not the solution.
