  1. Hi, My name is Howard and I found this site through a link on some random car audio sales site I was surfing. I have been into car stereo for about 4 years now and always want a bigger system than what I have lol. I am 23 and I am currently serving in Iraq with you United States Army. Always looking to improve my business and personal relationships so feel free to write me anytime.
  2. Well I put together a list of vehicles that these rims and tires will fit. However, Due to different wheel bolt patterns and offset, buyer is responsible to verify the correct fitment. The information in this guide is accurate to the best of my knowledge. These are "BEST PRACTICES" suggestions and are made without any guarantees on my part. I will not be responsible for your use of this fitment guide. 4. Thanks for all your input guys. If anyone wants to throw in more suggestions feel free.
  5. I dont need the original box. i am just looking for someone who wants to get rid of one they have for a decent price. I am not looking to spend more than 250-300 for used sub and amp. i know that isn't much but then again I don't have much of a budget left lol. Hoping someone feels generous lol.
  6. Hey guys. I need an 18" sub to put in my 4runner. I have 4 15's that I am gonna surrond it with and then I want to put the 18 in the center of the box. If anyone has a decent 18 and amp they want to sell please hit me up so we can talk. I can pay via Let me know something
  7. The amp will handle up to 4 gauge wire. I belive the amps actually ony push about 1000w rms per channel. 4000w is the max rating. I don't know how reliable the ratings that are sent with the Lanzar equipment. Hopefully it is close though.
  8. I believe the fuses on the amps are 40 and as far as everything else I am not sure. You have been very helpful in your suggestions. Like I have said before I am here to learn more than anything. I am in Iraq right now and I miss messing with stereo systems. This is all I got right now.
  9. You know I completely agree. I don't believe these amps produce near the power they claim to. however, this is the system that my budget would allow for so I am still gonna try to get the best sound out of it that I can. I would be interested to know how much power IS actually running from this system. I am really quite clueless in the area of advanced wiring and the way that all the parts interact with each other. Also you said about running wire to and from the distribution block. Where do you suggest I place that?
  10. Ok so here is everything I hav e ordered for my system. I have to wait to set it up but I want to get it all figured out before I start. I have 4 "15 Lanzar max subs. 2 of the 4000w Lanzar vibe amps (supposed to be 1000w RMS per channel) A 10 Farad Lanzar opti capacitor 4 gauge wiring Stinger 1800 series Yellow top Battery 4 6 and 1/2" kicker KS60's rated at 260w per pair 1 500w 4channel kicker amp and 3 sets of lanzar tweeters. All powered by a pioneer HU (not sure of the model number. I know I have to do the big 3 before I do anything else but I want people to tell me the best way to set all this up. I have a box but it isnt big enough so I am going to have to build another one when i get back home. I would for you all to suggest speaker wire size, power guage, box size, ported or sealed, order to wire the amps as well as the cap and batteries. This is going to be a big project I believe. It is for me at least as all I have ever used before now is dual 12's. This is all going into a 96' Toyota 4runner. Let me get anything you have to suggest guys. I don't have alot of experience in this area so I am eager to learn. Also just for fun if anyone hase ever had any experience with these Lanzar maxes I would like to hear what you thought about them. I hope this thread gets a lot of hits lol
  11. Well, I have been into car audio for around 5 years now. Started building my own systems about 4 years ago. I have noticed some minor hearing loss over the past few years but I am pretty sure it comes more from firing the army's 120 mm main gun on the Abrams tank.(That sucker is loud!) I have been firing it about 3-4 times a year for the past few years. I have been around alot of high Db systems and never noticed anything from them. I am hoping it doesn't damage my hearing as I enjoy listening to loud music about as much as anything else I could do.
  12. No I have not done this yet but will definitely do it as soon as I get a chance. This sounds like it may make a big difference in stereo performance. I am still in Iraq at the present time and I am starting this project as soon as I get back. Thats why I want to get as much info and help as I can before I get back. I hope you all keep the suggestions coming cuz I can definitely use them. Also I wanted to know if an amp alternator is worth looking into?
  13. I am somewhat new to professional car audio so I am not sure what the big three is. Help me out here
  14. Just b/c I am in the army and someone with more rank than me calls me a piece of shit and I tell him fuck that, they fine me thousands of dollars while I am already deployted in Iraq FUUUUUCCCCKKKK THAT!!!
  15. Ok so here is what I have gathered fo far. -I nedd to get a bigger box -I need to make that box ported -I need to use batteries instead of caps Question: What kind of batteries and how many would I need?( Never used batteries before) Can anyone think of any other ways to optimize this stereo for the best possible sound, besides tuning. Basically any other components I could add. Thanks guys
  16. Oh another thing I was wondering. Anyone have any clue what kind of Db I am going to be able to hit with this system. I am in Iraq right now and cant start the projest till I get home in August. Al;so let me know if you can think of anything else I can add to make it better. Keep in mind i have a tight budget though
  17. Ok here is the setup I am putting in my toyota 4runner. I have 4 "15 Lanzar max subs. 2 of the 4000w Lanzar vibe amps (supposed to be 1000w RMS per channel) A 10 Farad Lanzar opti capacitor 4 gauge wiring 4 6 and 1/2" kicker KS60's rated at 260w per pair 1 500w 4channel kicker amp and 3 sets of lanzar tweeters. All powered by a pioneer HU (not sure of the model number. Ok here is where I need the input and advice. #1- I have heard that lanzar is crap. I don't have a lot of money to invest so do you think I will get decent sound out of this system or will I need more. #2-I have a 6 cubic sealed box. Should i make it ported? Thanks guys
