Cheers man, a compliment off yourself is very nice to have
I think this is loud and so does most people who hear it with 2 lvl4 15's so what the fuck all those btls are like i actually cant imagine
I am still lolling at the video, i cant believe i got that on there, i mean we were up the back of a large hill out of town which is something to do with ministry of defense, then i drove off road just for a laugh and parked in this spot, had a little boom and then turn round and see an old guy walking down with his fingers in his ears asking what the hell we were doing
It was one of those things i doubt will happen again and i especially doubt i,ll happen to be recording it either :zorro:
I have heard that people will die at 245-250 decibels which is equivalent to an atom bomb.

just use diluted soapy water (not dish soap but soap intended for washing cars). works way better.
but yeah ammonia is what is bad for it.
okay thanks

Is it okay to put glass cleaner on window tint?

you get a better ground if you ground them to the battery, u can do them to each battery but it dosnt really matter, u get better sound tho if its through a ground on the battery
ok thanks for clearing that up for me.

Whoops, shitty double post.
It's prob not the vid man, it's my crappy ass internets.
Do you have to ground all the 0 gauge wires separately? Because in the past I would just ground all my batteries and amp through the battery under the hood. I am about to start my build with one red top under the hood and three blue tops in my trunk, will it be a problem for me to ground the batteries and the amp through the negative terminal under the hood or should I ground them separately like you. By the way great job on your build. Thanks

dude that is seriously insane. can someone tell me what kinda car that is. maybe a kit car. looked like old school steel to me.
Those people standing there are just dumb

I never fused my alternator positive wire. Isn't the fuse just in case the wire gets bent or burns from the engine.
-
When a mono amp has two positive speaker terminals and two negative speaker terminals, do the two positive go to the same place as well as the negative terminals go to the same negative place. If I were to wire two dual one ohm speakers in series/parallel into one ohm will the amp read the output as one ohm even if I am only using two out of the four terminals, since the other terminals go to the same place in a mono amp. Sorry about my confusing question

new ones are 69 pounds also if I remember correctly.
I weighed one and my digital scale said 60 lbs. It could be off one pound. The shipping weight was 69 lbs.

3 donkeys, 7 goats (soon to be 3) and 3 dogs
For me animals are fun to pet but, better to chew

not going above the window line if tough it will only allow me to do 12" high 41" wide and 20" deep(Cause i gotta keep my gangsta lean and able actually fit the box in the car)
im thinking 20" h 40" w 20" D dats about 7.06cuft before displacement..
what happens if you are in the 120-129.9 class and you go over 129.9 are you disqualified?
-
If you do bass race is doesn't matter.
And if the box is above window you will be in a higher class.
How does the bass race class system work?

I was wondering how people over power their subs way over the rms ratings (double). Also, are subwoofers able to go over their rms ratings in certain box designs?
-
whynot do a 1 sub setup with 3200 watts going into the btl then down the line buy another amp and sub
I was thinking about underpowering the two subs for awhile and then upgrading the amp after I get use to how these subs sound and work. I also have never heard anything this loud so I am not exactly sure how they are suppose to sound and operate. Also I did not want to have to make another box in a couple months.

I was thinking about getting two fi btl 18's but, with the amp I have now it will only be pushing 1600 watts rms a sub (3200 watts rms total). I wanted to use the amp I have for now and upgrade to a bigger amp in the future. My question is will 1600 watts rms push the btl's and if it could what size enclosure would I want to build a larger enclosure or a smaller one. I am looking to tune it in the low thirty's for a daily setup. Thanks

I do not understand EXmax fully because the specifications for my sub say that it can handle 16.1 mm. I thought EXmax meant how much excursion the sub could handle. I think my sub is getting about an inch of excursion. What do they mean when they say 16.1 mm thanks.

I was wondering about this also. I have my stock battery under the hood and a hc1800 behind my passenger seat. I hear some people say it is okay but, others say that the battery technologies do not work well together. Also, I am wondering if mixing battery technologies is hard on my alternator. Thanks

caps won't hurt, but if it were between that and alt/wire/battery upgrades, there's no debate
Hc 600 is supposed to be equivalent to 100 one farad capacitors and it costs around 100 dollars. It is much more power for your money.
Bit For Router
in TOOLS and TESTING Devices
Posted
In the past, I have used a reciprocating saw to cut my subwoofer circles for enclosures and now I am interested in buying a router. I know that I will need a jasper jig to cut the holes but, what kind of bit do I need for the router. Yesterday, I saw the bit you use to round the edges but, I do not know which bit to buy for the actual cutting.
