Looks good man! -
Hey your wall looks good man! I do not know what the length of my port is going to be at this moment and I have not decided on whether I am going to build a box outside of the car and then take my door off like my last build (except this time make trim panels and seal) or build the wall in my car. What are the dimensions of your box? One thing I know for sure is that I am going to position my port at the top like yours and put the subs on the bottom.

Yeah it is the same principles to my knowledge, but I hear from some people they like to lower the frequency when building a wall. I think for more air flow.

Today I took out my box for my btl's and I think I want to build a wall. For a wall in a car what frequency and port area should I be shooting for? I was thinking something like 14 cubic feet and tuned to 32 hertz with about 300 square inches of port area(for daily driving). I have just ripped out my box that was to my window line and want to do a bigger and badder build but I wanted to hear what other people think before I start. This is going into a Mercury Grand Marquis. I have never built a wall, but I have watched many builds on this forum and any tips appreciated. Thanks, Nate

Thanks everyone for the info!

One more question is their any way that my bass could break the fiberglass and blow particles out of the port?
-
I plan to do a new build in a few days does any body know the steps to fiber glassing the inside of a box and what brands for fiberglass and resin (or any other materials necessary)do you use?
-
Currently, my box for two Fi BTL 18's is flexing a little bit in one area near my port.(I have bracing but no fiber glassing) I want to build a new enclosure in the near future and am a little confused with the steps of fiber glassing the inside of a box, I am not talking about fiber glassing a cloth on the outside. Do I just put the material in place and then resin over? Is their a certain caulk that I should use when using fiber glass? Can I paint over the fiberglass or do I need to apply something else? If someone could please answer my questions I would greatly appreciate it because I want to start building a newer stronger enclosure. Thanks Nate

Thanks Mike, this tutorial definitely cleared up some of my questions. -
Which setting would you use for a normal non inverted setup.
-
Thats what I did but, I am curious whats its function is.

Can someone explain exactly how a phase shift works (0-180 degrees) on an amplifier? I have heard some things about when you invert subs but, I am not sure exactly how it works or what the proper degree setting should be.

I had two 12 inch power akoustik fubars and a power akoustik amp. The amp sounded great but, it did get hot. Also the amp is now in my girlfriends car it has been four years.

What does the size of the round over bit determine? Is it determined by the size of the wood (example 3/4 mdf) or does it determine the roundness of the wood?
