I just got a DC XL 15 M2 from sonic electronix and it should be a dual 2 ohm sub. The foam inside the box even said d2 on it. I wired +to+ -to- on the sub and I got a reading the other day of 1.3 on a DMM so i figured I was good. I also set my gain on my crescendo bc2000d with the DMM and 60HZ test tone using ohms law to correct voltage. There was some smell from the sub for the first couple days of playing and now there is no smell but the sub don't seem as loud. I pulled the sub back out of the box and now each coil reads 4.1-4.3 and total when wired in paralell reads 2.3??? Could one or both of the coils be damaged and now reading differently? Only other possibility is I got a dual 4 ohm sub and it was actually 2.3 the other day and I am mistaken.
