hell yeah, nice subs, which model are those dds? 9918 or something?
they are..or 9518f whichever you want to call it lol. they are still up for sale btw
-
I did it through photobucket.. then use the tags
-
Very nice! I'm waiting for the day when a package like that gets dropped off!
It's funny because most pictures make the motors look a little small, but that side-by-side with the dd is nice. What's the new power looking like?
It's going to be in the neighborhood of 8-10k watts. Adding a Mechman 270amp alternator and 2 more Odyssey 2150s to support the extra power
Man. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. Are those 15's or 18's?They are the 18s.. Dual 1.0s

I would be outside till 3 or 4 am during 35 degree weather working on my car. It don't bother me.
ok that's pretty hardcore.
if I had some good lighting, I would probably have it done by now though. sucks working in pitch black with only the lights in the car

Currently, an Atomic 5000.1 until my new amp(s) arrive. Hopefully tomorrow or Monday.

You son of a bit.. Lol. Jk man. I promise ya. You will love the Wardens. If you can keep em in a box.
Haha I wasn't jokin when I left that comment on your youtube
I feel like going out at 1 am to go expand the cutouts but I'll wait lol
-
Have a look at this Big thanks to Rio for hooking me up on these.
The only sad part is that they are WAY too big for the current cutout in my box and it got dark before I could make it bigger. Will have some videos up as soon as I get them in :hairtrick:

very nice score. I'm hoping to achieve the same outcome with half the subs and twice the power
-
I got a friend that will buy it. sending you a PM
-

I am sooo digging the Canadian tuxedo bro.. awesome subs too

The thing with Soundigital is that I'm a bit worried because it's a smaller company and it only has one power supply and I don't want stuff going bad like the RD3250s I bought
-
Okay guys, I am really stuck on this.
Sundown vs DD vs Soundigital
The situation is this: If I go with Sundown or DD, the subs have to be reconed so I can strap to 2 ohms.
If I buy the Soundigital, I don't
However, the amps I am looking at are:
(2) Sundown 3500D's, (2) DD M3A's, or 1 Soundigital 8kd
The question is, what do you guys think is best for a daily application with these? All amps seeing 1 ohm.
-
many people run both power and ground from front batts to back batts.
no need for that if you can ground the rear batteries to the frame of the car in the back
-
Id say Atmoic or Cactus all the way. They are BULLETPROOF. I have a 5k and that thing can handle low voltage, high voltage, .5 ohms, 1 ohm, you name it. it will get hot but keep on going. I've had it for like 2 years and never had to repair it once. they are damn well priced as well.
-
Wire all of the positives together and wire all of the negatives together and ground one of the batteries to the frame..
-
Oh yeah, the RCA I have been using is pretty small.. It's very thin so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it..
-
Alright I got it all playing and everything is fine except.. After about 10 minutes of play time, the speakers start popping even on really low volume. Even if the head unit is on pause they have a real faint pop and it gets louder with louder volume.
My only guess at this point is a bad RCA that is linking the 2 amps together. Any other opinions?
-
I have yet to turn the amps on because of this:
I wired the amps up just as I was told and shown. The subs are series paralled from my previous setup (2 dual 1 ohm subs wired to 1 ohm with 1 amp)
However, I read the ohm load by placing the positive on the master amp positive where the speaker lead is and the negative on the slave amp positive and it's reading .1 ohms =X
Anyone have an idea what's wrong?
-
2 RD Audio 3250v2 amps. I have 2 alternators and 3 2150 batteries. Rockford doesn't give any support on strapping amps. I think I have to do something along the lines of wiring the sub positives together, running both negatives to the slave amp, and I don't know the rest
-
that is how I currently have my subs, however I was told its completely different for when you strap the amps together
-
no, he has 4 VC's total so each sub can be wired at .5 or 2
series the coils on each sub, then parrallel the subs, that would be 1 ohm, then strap the amps to that single + and -
Its how I do it with my D1's
thank you..would you happen to at all have a diagram of that?
