So I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla Type S. It's stock alternator is 80 amps. I got in touch with Mike from Singer Alternators and he is making me a 160amp High Output alternator.
I will also have the following
- Sky High Car Audio 1/0 OFC Big 3
- Sky High Car Audio 1/0 OFC Amp Kit
- Sky High Car Audio 12 Gauge OFC Speaker Wire
- XS Power D1400 - One replacing the main battery and 1 in the trunk \
- SMD 14v Voltmeter
- 2 SMD OM-1 Meters
- the SMD 6x9 to 6.5 adapter plate
I will be running 2 sets of Polk Audio db6501 in the front and the rear deck. Powered by a DC Audio 175.4
The subwoofers will be DC Audio Level 4 12 m2.1 D2 powered by 2 DC Audio 1.2k
There will be Second Skin Damplifier Pro throughout the entire car.
I have the SMD tools for tuning as I had a minor setup before and I just wanna make sure everything for this one is done right and I have everything. I don't wanna start installing it and be missing something and have to put it on hold.
Basically what I have questions on is:
- Will the stuff I have picked out power everything correctly?
- Is there anything I'm missing?
- What cable is needed to strap the amps together. I know you need the RCA, but there is just a single connector that is on the DC amps and I can't seem to find a single one for it.
- Will my alternator be enough for this system?
- Do I need another battery or 2?
- Should I run the 2 subs in a ported or 4th order bandpass box?
Any input / advice will help greatly.
