You'll get better airflow if you have the sub hard up to one end or other of the box. Personally I would have it as far from the wall where the port exits the box as possible.
ok
-
haha nice cant go
wrong if its free
if my cam gets working i will take pics of the subs in their old enclosure and my amp and the port tubes which i should get 2morrow

-
yeah i forgot to add that they would be 4 ohm dvc....my bad

-
as for subs do the damn thing! blow thru! i agree with using the Hifonics amps!
how much for some top level 18"s i need at least one for a wall in my cavi....cuz i said forget the kicker squares!

You arent talking about mixing and matching subs are you
no all the same but change them to dual 2 ohm
-
Is there anyone in the northwest ohio/ northeast indiana area that could at least help with the build?
Maybe I should throw two more in there because I was gonna try to Juggernauts.
-
need a wall build for a cavalier with two Kicker 08S15L74 or seperate spl tuned boxes for them tuned @ 49Hz
-
im used to the time change and plus i work third shift ne wayz so its no big deal
-
oh...and the sub displacement is usually given to you in the specs..
thanks for the info and help i appreciate it
-
well at 4.7 cubes/sub each port would need to be like 13" or so for a tuning of 30hz
do i have to add the displacement of the ports with the 4.7 cubes or is it included?
-
i just got news of my fiance getting a me an 88 plymouth wagon and i need to know how much volume i need for 4 ma audio 150xe 15"s and the length of the four 6" aeroports.
i would like to tune around 30Hz and and crx style
-
Umm..I might need a second opinion about this, but I will take a stab at it.. Say your box is 40"wide X 30" tall x 20" deep...Take 40x30x20=24000 divide 24000 by 1728=13.89cuft Correct me if I am wrong gentlemen... Now as far as tuning goes that is where I need help at and would hope somebody would help us both out...?? Please...
that sounds right
re audio has a L-port calc on their site that would help with tuning
-
Whats the formula for an abc box like that? I know the formula for the hidden sub abc box 2/3 with sub and 1/3 other and all port same length.
-
I was referring to power to equipment stress ratio.....how well it handles the power. Nonetheless they both thrive on rsing above competition.

i wouldnt say either RE or Fi quality is much different they are both based on the former owners' workings. But I know Scott has made the Fi Q based on RE's XXX model. Thats why I was happy to try out the BTL model and see what it brings to the table.
