  1. Oh ok then, I see what you are saying I thought the stocker was under the hood. Then what you have will work fine, as far as the 250A fuse im not sure, well good luck with the set-up, and I am really surprised no one else on the forum chirped in on this.

Well, it's pretty much all in the TDH section lol

Im jus trying to figure out if I can just run the 300A fuse from the alt, to the Kinetic, to the amp, to the Stock battery.

if thats ok or not and I appreciate the help, the diagram and feedback.

  2. Diagram-1.jpg

Is that how you have it?

Personally I would go from Alt to the Upfront battery then to the kinetic then to the amp. But thats just my Opinion and how I run my stuff.

yah the diagram explains it peferct but u gotta understand the Battery is in the trunk, the Kinetic is behind the passenger seat and the alt isn't wired wif 0 gauge yet.

The Ground is from the Amp to the Stock in the trunk.

Kinetic has a ground under the back seat jus going from that to the battery nothin else.

  3. I was just wondering cause if the alt. isnt connected to the Stock battery how is that battery gonna keep your car running/start it.

Yah, that makes sense So, U would have to run it from positive Alt to the positive kinetic, positive kinetic to positive stock. that's pretty much how it's wired, and theres a 300A fuse being used from both batteries. Than theres a 2nd fuse from Kinetic to the amp but that was a 250A and it got hot n smokey so thats my concern.

  4. Ok as long as you are fine with it, the battery may sit at a slightly lower voltage. and may charge at a bit different rate, maybe someone with experience with the GP series of amps can chirp in and help with the fuse dilema, I did some searching but came up with nothing.

Well, the Crunch Gp 3000 needs a 300A fuse I believe, and the audio shop is saying it's not neccessary to have 2 fuses I just need one 300 A fuse, and I would assume it would be for the Big 111. What I would do is run the Positive from alt to positive Kinetic and than have the 300A fuse and than connect it to the amp. So, fuse is running from the Alt, Kinetic, and the amp.

I dunno im fuckin lost lol.

  5. Running a fuse after the Kinetic and before the amp is correct, as far as running the kinetic directly off the alt im not sure about that the ideal way to run it would to be from you under hood battery then run a positive/negative wire back to the kinetic and then connect the amp to the kinetic battery, what battery do you have under the hood, as I am pretty sure it is not recomended to mix dry and wet cell batterys.

    thats how it is now,

0 gauge Kicker Hyper Flex is running from the positive Stock Battery to the Positive Kinetic, with a 300A fuse in the middle. Than u got the ground going to the Kinetic. Than u got another positive going from Kinetic to the amp. Yes, im fully aware bout dry and wet but I don't have much to worrie about. The 0 gauge wire running from the Kinetic to the amp had a 250A fuse connected to it but it fried n shit so I took it out and havent bumped since.

  6. As far as the Alt to Battery it wouldnt hurt, and for before the amp....only if the amp isnt fused itself.

Edit: I always fuse right after the battery regardless if the battery is in the front of the car or in the trunk.

Ok, i'm not sure but does the Crunch Gp 3000 have fuses? I haven't saw them to my knowledge unless they are built inside?

I'm just gonna run a 300A fuse between the Amp and the Kinetic 2400 positive.

For the Big 111, Only the Kinetic should be run to the alt correct? what if I got both batterys bridged so the alt to the kinetic, kinetic to the stock all with a 300A fuse.

lol i dont know shit bout electrical

  7. Ok, I jus bought the 20 ft for under $50, should get it in a week my neighbor and buddie will help and than my Big 111 is done

However I noticed I have two fuses connected to the exact same thing.

0 gauge is going from + of the kinetic to the + of the Stock battery connected with a Kicker 300A fuse.

Than, + from the battery to the amp connected by a 250A fuse.

the Crunch GP 3000 requires a 300A fuse so I should only have one fuse hooked up correct?

  8. I went to audio shop, they dmm the amp read 12 volts. Say that I didnt get a 275A alt and DC isnt legit ect ect. So, I call up Dc power n tell em the news and ask wha I need to do to show them DC is the shit. I need bout 20 ft of wire, 0 gauge wire is expensive and would run me over $100+ dollars. He said I could use welding cable so my question is, where can I get this at? and is it ok? or Should I man up and get 0 gauge wire? I got 0 gauge going to everything in my set up just the Alternator isn't connected to anything but the car.

  9. spinning an alt in reverse would be fine, the ALT will not care! My question is this: Where are you going to find a dual pulley for a dual surpentine belt style setup.... You might have to have a machine shop custom make that for you on a lathe. Personally, why dont you just purchase an upgraded alt of 250-300a?

Can't go wrong with DC POWERS!

  10. Ok, i'm in the same Boat, I went to audio shop today, they tested my voltage said i was reading 12 volts. asked me what kind of alt I have and told me I got ripped off and it's not pushin 275 amps. This, right now is true it is not anywhere near that amount of amps because why you ask? I don't have the alt charging to the Kinetic 2400 I have Kinetic running to stock, and my amp. My voltage was reading high 12's. I called up DC power and explained to them how the shop was tellin me i got ripped off, and it's not gonna blah blah blah, and he explained that I shot myself in the foot. So, to unshoot urself in the foot you need Ring Terminals, Run Power to the alt than to the cell battery, than Ground from the battery to the chasis or engine block, By doing this ur alt can put out the correct amp and you'll be blowing peoples heads off. As far as damage goes, I've had no problem with my car. by not having your alternator connected to anything your alt is trying to push out the power, but is unable to do so which is why they were only reading 12 volts. So, unshoot urself in the foot, get the neccessary tools, and get ER DONE.

I am so excited cuz I will be able to do hair tricks and shirt tricks with EASE from the trunk!

  11. I learned if your gonna do something that's expensive to replace, do it right the 1st time, but after watching this video i'm gonna try doin it the "REDNECK WAY" :search:

    hope u figured that's sarcasm.

    time for work
