    im nto to good with sketch up but uhoh_45 is the man.

    talk to him for a sketch up ...

    $500 isnt much of a budget, for a awesome set of subs and a good amp to drive em. much less a box.

    level 3's will sound good sealed as well, but wouldnt have the output like they would in the ported box.

    Well, i spent well over $2000 so mayb I can push him to under $1000 if he wants his moneys worth den we have more options to go by.

    3.5 - 5 cubes after displacements and depending on volume is gonna depend on how long your vent needs to be.

    3.5 cube = 56 square inches of port around 20 inches long

    3.75 = 60 sqaure inches of port around 19.5 inches long

    4.0 cube = 64 square incehs aropund 19" long etc.

    Can I see a Box Sketch up =).

    he's gonna hit me up in a half hour and drop by, ill show him the forum he's willing to spend $500 I think that's his budget.

    I would say 2 dc lvl 3's and a Crunch Gp 2500.1

    Well if he's leaning towards DC and about 2k RMS, then LVL4s would be right up his alley. Coupled with a DAT 2500.1

    EDIT: And as long as you know how to cut wood (or he does) we can help design a good box for them PLEASE don't pay 300 for a box...

    I told him GO BIG or GO HOME. what's the point in fucking $500 on 2 15's and rigging it, when a guy with 1 12' with correct box, and electrical is louder? so he's taking all my advice, and wants to check out the forum, i am sure this thread will motivate him.

    what's the price on Diablo? I been wanting to check those out.

    I have no experience building a box and the shop would charge $300 minium for a specification box.

    Personally, you can't go wrong with RF but it's a bit pricey, he's interested in the Crunch Line, mayb a Crunch Gp 2500.?

    Long story short, went to audio shop to rewire my voltage meter to see where i'm at DC POWERS FTMW don't drop below 12.

    Dude comes in as im ready to leave and asks them for a estimate on car alarm. I ask him if he had a system *cough 2 sony 12's xplods cough* "Gotta Start Somewhere"" and a Sony Xplod amp. Asked him if he wanted a demo and ended up like 20 minutes straight, even with the windows up shop & there neighbors was getting annoyed. Keep in mind they talked down to DC and compared it to a mmats juggernaught copy. So, I end up demoing him and he makes beats/raps and let him hear some of his own shit on a real system and needless to say he's interested in my set up. I told him all about SMD, and asked him bout his knowledge of audio and he's as clueless as a duck trying to swim with no feet. So, I just got a voice mail bout 10 minutes ago he wants to check out the forum, and whatnot and look for his own set up.

    I would reccommend two dc lvl 3's 12's and like a 1000 watt amp but I don't know how much money/power he wants. Needless to say I gave him the DC Audio bug, and Rusty will have a new customer. The shop mainly pushes memphis which after hearing a demo from the 2 15' Mojo walls is not bad, but i've been in louder. I don't wanna see this kid ending up like I did when I first got started and knew nothing about audio and blew my money on shit.

    He'd most likely have it in the trunk, it's a nice sports car I dunno what brand/model but it's better than mine lol.

    Anyways, I need some suggestions for this cat, If he's on a budget what would be something decently priced but LOUD?

    I have no idea about a box but I'm sure I can come up with something.

    He has no knowledge accept commercial brands.

    he says he wants POWER so I would say a 2000 rms amp atleast.

    damn..sorri to hear that guys.. todai was a bad dai 4 me 2.. my freakin brother in law.. crashd for the freakin 3rd time.. cus he was drunk once again.. and he still doesnt accept that fact he is alcoholic.. .. and worst of all..he treats my sister like shit.. and my sister wont leave him.. and to top it all off.. my sister is the one payin for everything..billz.. debts .. and mostly everything else.. damn..had to let some shit out to huh... sorrriii..lolz.. but yea.. hope you guys get better things up ahead..

    same situation happened wif sum1 i know, she works, pays bills, rent, ect ect. he sits on his ass n plays video games all day.

    well i found out like 4 months ago my grandma has cancer and they gave her 6 months to live and today i wake up and my mom calls me an says get up and get ready and come to the hospice center in north olmstead so i went and was with my family we were up there for like 6 hours and waiting for my aunt to come to ohio from west virgina and she gets there so we all go in grandma's room and she just layed there and stopped breathing and she was gone it seems like every year someone is dying on me first my uncle then great grandma then a friend then my dad then 2 friends last year nad now my grand ma i cant take it no more i just needed to vent and i thought this would be a good palce to do it

    that sucks bro every1 is losing sum1 nowadays its not like old days where it was jus from war its anything and everything.

    okay, the ticket was filed on 3/3 so you had 10 business days from then which would have been the 17th... now the case details letter makes sense. our problem now is... when did the check get in the mail? they will have your envelope which was post dated. so dont worry mane all will be fine. for future reference always make time to put that important shit in the mail box yourself... sometimes life does suck and it will throw challenges your way, but you gotta do what you gotta do to stay alive. anyways, we just need to sort all this B.S. out just incase you do have to appear in court you wont look like a stupid ass and you will have all the correct answers ftw!!!

    thats the thing man. I don't wanna appear in court.

    I'm sure if I would dress nice, have a decent cut, looked professional, none of this crap would happen but I am myself and I'm not gonna dress nice just incase I get pulled over they'll say "he's a business man". I treat every officer with respect, and dignity when I get pulled over and I still get fucked up the ass.

    the letter is saying I have to appear 4/17/09 or my license can be suspended, and I can have a warrant.

    but it says, something bout 4 days prior to appearance.

    here's what it says.

    no later than four (4) business days prior to the court date shown above, you may request a continuance of this court date by either allin (630)4078600 or by appearing in person at the circuit court clerks office, or by mailing in a letter to circuit court clerk. This violation may be paid by mail or in person at the circuit clerks office or online at www.dupagecase.com atleast four business days prior to the court date shown. if you do not satify this violation and fail to appear as notified the court may issue a warrant for your arrest and if this is a traffic offense, case your license to be suspended. your failure to appear will also result in additional costs being assessed against you.

    so you got the ticket on 3/2... ten days later would be the 16th.

    Yah, im so flustered I got the dates mixed up wasn't lookin at my computer calender correctly.

    Ticket was issued 3/2/09 Monday around 7 am.

    I went to class, they all knew about the ticket, went to work, talked to the boss on what to do, Went to the bank, filled out money order 3/2/09 $75.00 Tuesday Class again, and I handed the money order to my owner who put the stamp on it and mailed it that day. So, from 3/3/09 until w.e they should of got that letter 2 days at the latest the court place is like 10 minutes from where I work. so, it was WAY before than TEN DAYS.

    There should be no reason for this letter, or court appearance.

    Yah, I was on court supervision for 1st time for 90 days and passed with flying covers, I have no record, and no PUNCHES on my license it's all CLEAN.

    and that wasn't even from the same county that was from State Police where I live WILL COUNTY Court.

    so I paid the ticket the 2nd day which was Tuesday 3/3/09.

    Received the notice 3/17/09.

    due 4/17/09 8:30 am.

    dont forget there were two hollidays and only 28 days last month... the 10 days the copper spoke about did not include weekends or hollidays!

    well, what the fuck am i opposed to do? pull a superman out of my ass?

    I had the class Monday & Tuesday it was issued Monday, had money order Tuesday, sent it in wednesday.

    3/2/02 up until 3/12/09 which is 10 days. If it was sent out 3/3/09 it should not take a week for them receive it.

    my dad says dont worrie about it, give them a call monday.

    it was on a monday so 3/2/09 Ticket Issued. Same exact day I wen't to the bank because I was off from work after the class, and I filled out the money order. 3/2/09 was Tuesday the last day of class + the certification test. After school I dropped by my work and gave the envelope to the owner who put a stamp on it and mailed it in on that day. So, from 3/2/09 until 3/13/09 ur telling me that is not enough time to receive it?

    dam dude it looks like they messed up! they didnt assess fees untill 3/17 which would be way late if you payed before 2/26... i mean the ticket wasnt even filed untill the 3rd.

    ok, i vented which is for edited post.

    The only explanation I can think of is the owner mailed it late, I will have to find out when he mailed the ticket but I will for sure give the court a call on monday and I will look at the date I got the ticket, and when I paid it. I have the receipt in my car.

    Ok, after going into my bank account the date I withdrew money for the ticket was 3/02/09.

    That means I received the ticket 3/1/09.

    So, I did the money order 3/2/09 and It was mailed 3/3/09 that is when I gave it to the owner and he put a stamp on it and mailed it that day.

    it is now 3/20/09. I received the notice 3/17/09.

    that means I paid it before 10 days and no court should be required.

    im sorry bro, i hope things get cleared up on monday for you tho!

    it just sucks, u get promoted because ur opposed to be the "hero" and better than all the other managers and be different in a good way and all that fucking pressure they put on me, than sayin we have to be there on time, I mean the thing that upsets me is Even though I was late, I still got in so there was no need to panic in the first place but the way they was tellin me is at 7 am they lock the doors.

    you sent it in? you should have went on your day off up to the court house and paid it off... i dont let some one else handle my stuff because if its on some one to put in the computer that you paid it... and they get lazy or more work piled on top of them they could easily misplace your payment

    I had the owner who is very well known by the "police" and services as such like the army send it in for me. no way in hell would he forget to do it I gave it to him 2nd day after I went online and tried to pay online but wouldn't let me, he put a stamp on it and mailed it. So, just doesn't make sense how just all of a sudden this popped up when I literally paid the ticket 2nd day I got it, and it's been like almost a month since than.

    it also looks like you may have payed your fine just a few days late, which is why they need you to appear and just go through all the formalities (how do you plea? etc.) the district attorney will read off your assessments to the judge, the 2 of them will have a brief discussion, and then the judge will bang his hammer... the judge probally wont even talk to you.

    I did not pay it late I had 10 days to pay it, I send it out the 2nd day after I got it.

    theres no way it took that long for them to receive it.

    it's 3/20 today. I got that ticket like around middle of February because that's my birth month.

    I don't have the ticket on me it's in my car but i'm pretty damn sure it was February because I got the ticket before my birthday which is 2/26/87.

    i had to poop one time coming back from Hershey park and got pulled over. 2 miles away from my house and the shit was prarrie doggin so i was doing a 38 in a 25. Needless to say, I told the cop i had to poop and still got a ticket lol.

    it's like this pretty much.

    The night before Sunday I had to close because they liked to screw me over and not show up since I became manager and I wasn't opposed to close. Needless to say I got home at midnight (45) min drive to get home and couldn't fall asleep until 3:30 am. I woke up at 6 and had to be at the class at 7. Accident on expressway backed me up 6 exits. So, im driving on 3 hours of sleep on streets I have not driven in years and where I'm from speed limit is minium 40. So, they telling me I have to be there at 7 on the dot or I can't get in and it's $200 per person. So, im trying to get there fast as I can to make up for loss time, and I end up paying for it. This is all I have to say "if you need to be somewhere at a certain time make sure you leave earlier enough to get there with time to spare".

    I drive like an old granny now.
