  1. Hey folks, I'm car stereo shopping, pretty much replacing all the factory audio on my 12 Buick Regal with an Alpine head unit, Alpine mono amp, sub, a JL Audio 4 channel amp and speakers all around. I've narrowed down the speakers between Morel and Hertz (don't have model numbers in front of me). The speakers I want and will fit my car all have surface mount tweeters which brings me to my question. My dash is nice and I don't want to start drilling holes in it. I assume it it is the frame around the tweeter that won't fit in the component factory housing. Would it be feasible to remove the new speaker and adapt it to the factory housing or are there options I haven't thought of? I realize this is a really broad question and now a very long one but others likely have run up against this issue. I really don't want to compromise on the most important part of audio, the speakers with lesser ones that will fit. Sorry for the diatribe. I'm all ears.
