used to do 155 mi round trip daily. worked evenings, depending on traffic conditions 1 1/2 to 2 hours to work and about 45mins. to an hour back home. did it for 2 years. but since i got layed off is just a 3 mi. drive daily taking the kids to school.

no. the only thing the H/U has to control the bass output is a "LOUD" button, but the box is always on.

well i have two small kids, a 4 year old and a 2 year old. whenever i drive with the music on, i think it's too loud actually too much bass. if i turn the volume down it's hard to hear because of them or my loud ass exhaust. i was thinking of cutting the remote wire from the deck and adding a switch to it ( my own manual shut-off ), that way when i'm with them the sub- box would be off and when i'm by myself i can turn it on as loud as i want. good idea?
