Ohms Law Is Flawed
FiBTLforlife replied to FiBTLforlife's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
is that good or bad on my part??? lol -
i was just here at work bored and thought of a funny argument me and my friend was having one day at his house. we started to talk about amps and subwoofers and he decided to put a dmm meter on his woofers, they was reading find but he said it was slightly off so the subwoofer was bad (subs didnt hit hard so he was mad) and was gone bring them back to the guy. he actually got new subs somehow but turned out they still read the same.... so then we made this bold statement that OHM's law is flawed and should be right. i look at him and think to myself who are you and whats makes you so smart. he also told me that an amplifier is an amp. dont matter if you have an explod or a sundown or jl audio amp, they all put out the same. at this point im laughing my ass off in his yard and tell him that he has made my day. his brother is in the background with the shameful look on his face because he knows his brother is a dumb ass. the only that keeps me coming to his house is to see the look on his face when i play my system in my truck because he as the same truck as me and mine is literly 10x louder than his. i was running a FiBl12'' at 1000rms at the time on memphis mono amp and he had 2 12''' kenwood subs on 2 channel kenwood amp... ow and for that last part, his 2 channel amp eventually was thought of as putting out just as much power as my mono amp.....lol my friend for ya

Ive been goin to goodwill on and off for about 4 months now after i get out of school. I have sold many old amplifiers and made great profits but i havent taken pictures of all the amps ive scraped up. but here is just some that you can find at a goodwill store if you go at the right time. all these amps i got for around $5-$10 at most. all at working conditions. what ya think the kenwood amp was $9 sold for $95 silver pioneer was $5 sold for $55 black pioneer i still have, payed $8 sales for over $100 so for a tip, check out goodwill stores if you like old school amps

had same problem, amp was on a metal bar and was causing this. slow pulse in and out like a heart beat but not sound would come out. -
I've been going to school for 3 years and time to move out so im geting an apartment on campus to finis my schooling. (4years left) So i decided to build me a small box for my place to keep me company by my computer. nothing to much but enough for a little bump. Project is put on hold for now but will pick back up as soon as i take finals in 2 weeks. heres what i got right now.... I planed on wet sanding the box, but ill be spraying my box for my truck with truck lining so i might just spray this also, hahahhaha...all in all i learned how to use body filter. "well sorta" box is smoother now than whats in the pics now (just wanted to see what it looked like with some paint, just a test)

17hz

im the guy who sold hoppy the subwoofer. and i have to say i sell only good things, so we know its not the sub. turned out his head unit was doing it all along, clipping the shit out of the sub. he changed a sub setting on the HU and he said it worked fine and was super loud. then i gave him a song and he when to try it out, started doing it again. now he said his guages are fcking up on him and gas gauge and stuff if wacked up. so im clueless all i said was check all your fuses and stuff in truck, something is blown and wacked up bad. but at least he knows its not the sub or amp. -

this is all being done over the phone of all things so im not there in person to see what is really going on which makes it hard. so im just going by what he tell me. he thought he had it at 32hz then told me its 17hz, so i can only go by what he tells me. i dont know what else to tell the dude but make a new box
