impressive, but does he/she have the crowd's support to back it all up?...
lol that is a dam loud bass boxer ( i peak in the begging at 152 and average around 148 but im doing alot of changes to my van to make my system more bassboxing vs it mainly being a spl van now
-
and if youre doing iasca bassboxing and plan on going to world finals next year, better pack one hella punch , us funkin audio boys currently hold 3 out of 4 bassboxing championships (me being the heavy weight champ) xD
-
bass race is harder but better imo
in bass boxing you do first run playing iasca cd track 3 then you play your own song for 60 seconds then if you make it to final round you play a song for 60 seconds and try to get the crowd to cheer you on to become the winner in your class....
well in bass race you go up agains people head to head at the same time and you have to keep your spl under and above a certian level at the same time without going over or going under if you go under you loose if you go over you loose you have to be rite on but higher than the next guy but not over the limit very difacult to do but can be masterd when useing the same song over and over again

digikey.com awsome place, didnt even have to pay upfront they do COD which is awsome, my mosfets should be in tommrow

well i am not the best "carpet person for boxes but i can get r dun, i normaly start on the side with no subs and (useing contact cement) i glue the back on but only allow the carpet to go mid way in on the back, then roll the box onto the newly glued side and apply gule to the uncarpeted side thats now viewable and pull the carpet tight and press firmly into the glue working out all air pockets and wrinkles, then roll the box over again and youre at the woofer location, gule the wood and apply the carpet holding it tight and do that for the last side..and when you reach the side you orignaly stared with, put the glue on the box and apply the pressure to the carpet to make it stick and leave the over hang over the orignal carpet job, when the carpet and glue has set up so the carpet doesnt start to pull away from the glue, roll the box so the back where you first started is faceing the clouds and with a brand new very sharp razor cut both the orignal carpte and the over hang carpet at one time doing a single pull thru both pices makeing sure as to not lift your knife or makeing 2 cuts for one line. remove the excess carpte from the last side and then peal off the orignal side carpet that is glued to the box reapply new glue under the last part of carpet and apply it in place and since it was cut exactly as the orignal you should have a perfect fit and placement.....now to do the hardest part
them dam 2 last sides , they get tricky
i recomend a brand new blade for each cut since razors are so cheap (flip the blade around to use the unused side) so you dont have snags or runs in the carpet..
(visulaise this) you have 2 bare sides and the carpet is hanging over on both sides of the box you will take a cut at a angle from the top right pulling down at an angle aiming towards the bottom left side and do this for all 4 sides now you have 5 pices of carpet cut into V's glue the largest of them onto the box , makeing sure to pull it tite but not so tite you cause buckleing in the other parts of the box. then you will apply the next side and so on and so on, and to trim it all up you will cut thru both layers at the same time and removeing the bottom layer and reapplying glue to glue the top most layer back down and when all is said and done your side of the box should have (possibly heavy noticable lines) what appears to be an X in the carpet where it was cut and guled as neatly as possible...
well i hope i didnt loose ya too bad , but if so im building a box tonite and im going to carpet it so if you need pictures let me know and ill do a step by step pic thing for ya to tryn help ya some on it

cvr or p3 i hope thats not a serious question lol

i second that , its all in the install baby, my buddie has 2 fosgate t2 15s running off of 4 o2 audio 3000Ds at 16volt in a wall in 17.5 cf in a thunder bird and he did 148.8 db one show the same show i just built my new wall for 2 kicker cvr 15s @ 19.5cf powerd off of a (get this ) a kole 3000D at 12 volt van off , my power wire was a 16 ga wire ground was 16ga remote was 16 ga and my speaker wire was 16ga as well , i was going to the show come hell or highwater and i didnt have a amp nor wire for the subs or amp, so a team mate loaned me his 3000D and i threw it in (didnt adjust it any) and i bumped out a 148.7db with it just like it was so i have to say not that kicker is better than the t2 but its all in the install
-
that was off 3 funkin audio MF400's at 2ohm they are rated at 600watts rms at 2ohm and defentaly do their power
-
i wish they were power series i would keep them so i can have 4 power 6.5s along with the tweets but they are the punch seires, i bought them off ebay without completly reading the discription and got them and bam they were punch, not that there is anything wrong with punch i just prefer power o and yes they are componets
-
same here but it played a few mins ago so its prolly a bandwidth thing
-
:^ lol ill be dam sure not to try and pull that stunt off
-
ok ill take the first 110 for these things :-[
-
not much you can do with 6 batterys 7 amps and only a 50 amp alt lol
-
well when i began the bass boxing match i peaked at 152.1 and as the 60 seconds went by my total aveage was 148.7
-
with 160 amps and depening on your total system draw you should good ad the extra battery it wont hurt since you have more than a 90 amp alt
-
i wouldnt so much worrie about the cap but the battery will help some but if your alt is already strained you realy should conisder investing into a high out put alt to solve all your power issues, think of the cost of the cap (averages 100-150 in audio shops) and a battery (50-150 depening on the battery you bought) that can be as much as 300 dollars in cap and battery when a high output alt only cost 350-450 and is gaurnted to solve the power issues instead of just patchin the issues and then have them come about all over again at a later time
-
have any money? make a offer if you have any you might get surprised
-
:^ lol amen to that one, it can be done with a frost vinyl decal or it can be done via cnc machineing which wont fall off from excessive heat and whatnot
-

how do i test or tell the resitors are good or bad?
-
i dont have any questions, the pictures tell the whole story and i love it detail in the whole box design , esp the resin 45's thats pimp :^ and the changeable port is awsome as well :-* i will defentaly burrow a few of the methods used in this box when i beggin rebuilding my wall (and ill take pics of the demo and rebuild of my box as well for all to see) im hopein to fit 20 10's and 8 6.5s with 4 horns in my new wall and have it carpetd or finished in some fashion or another ...but meade you rule and so does your boxes =V^
-
well i sold the ones i had but if you want some let me know i can get brand new amps with factory warrnety as well but the price will be a little bit higher i cant internet challenge the prices found online but the o2 i got special from o2 to run in my van for a few shows , but i can get the poweracoustik a3000DB whcih is exactly the same amp for 350 each, or the kole qxi3000D which is also the same thing for 340 each
-
1000w rms at 4 1800 rms at 2 and 2300 rms at 1 and they do very close to the rated power i might add, very nice amps for the money i gave for them and there strapable and did a little test on one at 12 v car off i disconected the speaker wires and did a 55hz tone at 3/4 volume on my head unit and it put out 62.3 volts and at 16 volt power the amp dod 73.9 volts at the same volume level
