    how do you "mod" an amp yourself? take it to a tv repair place that works on all kinds of electronics and tell them to mod it? to go down to a lower ohm and all that or is it something you remove and replace in the amp easily?

    hell  I walled off a Astro-Van with 2 15's and 3.5kw on em and 5 batts and couldnt touch a 50.

    loudest I hit @ a comp is 148.4 burp, in my garage a 148.7  on young jeezy AirForces

    I was tuned low 35hz, getting loud is NOT EASY, Unless you have ALOT of Power Amp/Batt and Subz that will handle it, In a good Strong Box your not gonna touch a 150 on music.

    im sorry for the massive failure there ......

    but i walled off my econline work van (see attaced pictures) and put 2 cheap cvr 15's in the wall tuned it around 40 hz and i only had 1 amp a kole 3000D @ 12volt with car off, power wire was 8ga, speaker wire was 16 ga remote wire and i busted out a 148.7 so i know with one amp per sub, and proper power wire and speaker wire i could have eaisly done 150+ so its all in the design, i know people with 2 12's in blasers doing 155 on the dash legal so it may be time consumeing but its not that hard with the proper box and power as well

  12. question about different size mids

    well currently i have a ghetto style pod on the "dog" box of my van holding 2 fosgate 6.5 power mids, and i bought a set of 4" fosgate power mids, and just bought another set of 5.25 power mids ...

    so in total i have 6.5, 5.25 and 4" mids all power sieres, my real question is would it sound horrable if i were to make door pods to house all 3 sizes ? or should i seperate them , like put the 6.5s down low aiming upwards, put the 5.25s on the doors aiming mid way up or upwards and put the 4" on the dog box where i orignaly had the 6.5"s

    any input would be great

    yea ive seen vid after vid and heard so many people talk about phill colins old ass song in the air tonight, so i down loaded it and i played it in my van and its not what i see or heard in the videos , so my next thought was that someone did something to the song to make it wang,?... anyone have the edited version that wangs lol? and if so can i get a copy of it?

    when i first got back into car audio this past year (december of last year) i bought 4 fosgate p1 12's for shits and giggles (wasnt sure if audio was rite for me again) and i was very impressed i picked the pair up for 50 bux a pair so only 100 in 4 subs and then i got bent over on my amps tho, picked up 2 lanzar 241 1000 watt 2 ch amps for 300 for both but they made them p1's beat down and i put them subs thru hell and sold them when i started to hear noises..but for the dollar the cheap ones are decent but the T series is just way over priced and eaisly beat with a lower line of sub

    yea i tore out my wall of 12 10's and built 2 boxes exactly the same and did the L port tuned to 37 hz, and it sounds decent but its not what i had imgned it would be , maybe its because i have too little air space or because i have it tuned to high or what ever

    the boxes are 30W x 17.5D x 17 high and like i said tuned to 37hz and i have 3 10s in each box (mainly because my amps are only stable for daily at 2ohm , i can do burps at 1ohm but daily will cook the amps)

    think my problem is mainly air space that i need to double the size of each box to get more sound out of them?
