IMO i dont think you are gonna gain 7.5 dbs just by rewiring subs and unstrapping the amps. You may gain alittle becasue your impedence rise may not be as high. Can we get some more info on your setup? What type of vehicle box size and tuning?

I think next year im gonna do a setup like tommyk has but im gonna use 2 dd 1508s on a 2000d. Im hoping to get in the high 140s with it. I just have alot of testing to do.Later on i may end up throwing alittle more power to them to see how they like it.

Why not go with two 10s or 12s and fire forward port out the side. I will be at appleday with 1 15 firing forward aeros to drivers side.Unless i break down and buy some new stuff but i dont know yet i maybe leaving for texas monday i dont know yet.

I am new to the site. I have been around spl for a little while and i have some question about my current setup. Right now my system is a memphis 1500d and a 15" kove armageddon z series dual 4. Right now i dont want to seal the trunk off and have the sub firing forward. I am looking for a spl box my problems in that the truck from floor to truck lid is about 16.5-17 inches high. If i build the box big enough for the sub to fire back ill will be blocking alot of the room of for air to more around the box. Could i fire the sub up and port back? I have never seen good #'s from this type of setup. Im up for any suggestions on box configurations. Thanks
