  1. Ok i know a little about computers, but not much. My dad gave me his old computer that he hasn't used in 2 years, He used it to do gaming on butthe hard drive has way to many viruses on it so i cant to get a new one. It has a nVidia 2 processor on an ABIT NF7 motherboard. All i would use it for would be to search the web and IM and stuff, no gaming over here. I would like to know if this board is even woth trying to put a new hard drive in? Just remeber i got it for free, not looking to get a new computer. I was thinking about putting a 500 gb hard drive on it(since i can get one for $80).

    Thanks, Scott

    P.S.

Wat is the max ram that the board can handle also if anyone knows.?

  2. Well I only had one job when I was in High School. But that was becuase I played baseball and had no time for a job (only did it during the summer). If you dont mind getting dirty(at first) I would suggest you go and put an application into a tire changing place. I used to work for America's Tires/Discount tires, depending on where you live, and had a blast. The work is not hard once you get used to it. I started off making $9.50 an hour (minimum in CA at the time was ~$7.25) and was pulling in 200-250 a week after taxes.

Also I really don't think that a vending job is good for a 17 year old to be doing. My step dad worked for Continental Vending for 10 years and was so stressed out doing that job. He would rutinely smoke 3 packs of ciggaretts a day. He would leave the house at 5 in the morning and sometimes wouldn't get home untill 11 or so at night.

  3. It would have been cool to make and mount a trim ring for one high-power 12 inch subwoofer and mold a wood and fiberglass enclosure out of the rest of the space. The Ram is wide enough to make a looong port for a low fb, but mounting height precludes a REALLY powerful sub. Hopefully Santa will slide a couple of these down the chimney this year:

and this is the first time I've owned a vehicle wide enough to take full advantage of the front stage, so I need an impressive beat to match.

If it was my truck, which i probably will do to my dads, is that i would invest in some fiber glass and get it done. Just looking at it, i believe you would be able to get a Fi Q 10, or even possibly a DC 10 in there. You would have to fiber glass the whole thing and then build the port so it would look like an L in the upper section where the wood would be and fire it out the front. would look pretty kool.

  4. It sounds like what happened to my step dad on his dodge after off roading one day. I'm guessing that it is an independent front axel. Try getting on you belly with a flash light and check to see if your cv boots are ok. If they are, then i have no idea, if they are not, you probably lost the ball bearings, and the ball bearing cage. I'm only goin off of experience here, so it could be your problem or its not. Just my 2¢.

  5. Ok, I have a 86 f150 2wd with an aod. The past week it has been feeling like my transmission has been slipping, not bad, but a little. So today was the first day that i have had a chance to take it to a transmission shop. I just had them change the fluid. Under normal acceleration, gas saving(granny accelerating) there is no problem in shifting. But if i was to get on the throttle hard from a dead stop, or in first gear, it starts to chug and hesitate before going into second. Only does it going from first to second.

    Anyone have the same problem?

Anyone know what I should be looking for?

    Any suggestions will help.

    Thanks Scott

  6. Have my first opportunity to go to a stereo competion and my transmission decides to start slipping. FUCK THAT

Taking it to the transmission shop tomorrow to see if all it needs is a flush and refill, and even if that fixes the problem, there goes the money i set aside for the competion. So no more competition for me, so DOUBLE FUCK THAT. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif :censored: :censored: :censored: :censored:

  7. I never heard of some of these subs you are talking about. So far I'm considering the fi btl, mach5 spl-15, I would consider soundstream but the amps I will be using are .5 ohm stable, I'm also looking at the solo x 18 but I'm afraid that 2000 watts might run it but it won't be enough to sound good.

Why not run an amp on each coil on the solo. Or even better yet put 2 amps per coil. :hairtrick:
