On my old ford ranger we found a tranny for maybe $700 then had to get it installed

virus. try restoring the comp earlier?
If you have a virus, restoring it to a previous save point will only corrupt those files as well. I have sick nasty firewalls and on access scanning watching all open ports etc... any other suggestions?

The only people the shops make money off of are the locals of the show who stop by and see some cool stuff they want done to their car, the ROI is terrible unless the area is heavily populated and their is an awesome location where its easy for people to stop. But that sort of location would also involve more permits and in some cases renting police for a minimum amount of time for a minimum pay of $40 an hour(thats what it costs around here with a minimum of 3 cops or some shit)...

You can see memory and cpu usage and under processes you can see which programs are allocating the most resources assuming that is the problem. Then kill those programs if possible.

Could have a kernel issue. Does your cpu usage max out or memory usage?

DX11 is nice and im sure you could pretty much run everything out there at that resolution on some decent settings. I run everything on high with my 9800GTX+'s in SLI at 1920x1080 on a 32" monitor with a second 22" display. You can gain around 60% performance from adding a second card, depending on the application. Some games don't utilize SLI at all and you may see worse FPS some you may gain from 30 up to 40 FPS and then other you will jump from 100FPS to 200+
