  1. I know when you do amp test. I've always though to my self, boy I wish meade would show amp guts. I'd like to see the jbl guts. It did so well for a little guy. Keep posting and I will keep watching ... Oh to me that amp would be o.k on some 6 by 9 's.

i will post the guts of that too! no prob!

the thing is, this amp here, is a class A/B.....so there is no way you can fit 1100 watts of class AB power into that little chassis. Class D, is a different story, that is why the smaller Monoblock amp was able to do big power. I am willing to do a Hifonics class D soon and maybe they will do rated. I will do a CEA 2006 model for sure.

I will be tuned for a Hifonics dyno test! I'm surprised you gave them a maybe do rated haha

I am anxious to see that CEA compliance means nothing in 2012-2013

Thanks for your work Mr. SM

I think there will be A LOT of people tuned in for that testing!

  2. I know there's legal crap around this stuff, but if not for that: All it should say is "cook for 5-7 minutes"

If you can't figure out how to put a handful of pasta into boiling water, you are too stupid to function in life LOL

Could not agree more. If you are that dumb, stay out of the kitchen!

When I started working in the food industry we listened to some customer complaints and how to deal with them, my personal favorite was a dumbass complaining about the cup holder on his laptop breaking. Or for normal folks.....he broke his CD rom slot off by resting a cup on it.

Oh yeah, and the other one was a guy who started his kitchen on fire because he "followed" directions on the cake mix box, only instead of baking in a pan he decided to bake it in the carboard box it came in.

Natural selection is a wonderful thing, and common sense is highly under rated!!!!

  3. Uhh... Why in the world do they need to put ADD in all caps? How much confusion could there possibly be?

    --Customer Service--

Customer: Hi, my pasta doesn't seem to be functioning properly

-C/S: Walk be through, step by step what you did

Customer: Well, I boiled 4 quarts of water, then I divided the pasta

-C/S: You need to ADD the pasta

Customer: Well you need to make that a bit more obvious! It's really easy to get confused

-C/S: Your feedback has been noted. Sorry for the inconvenience, please have a nice day.

Honestly working in the food industry myself and listening to some of the DUMB SH*T people do because they are too lazy to read directions, you have to label products in such a way it is so dumbed down an infant could follow it if they can read.

It's dumb as hell, and a TON of extra work, but if you don't people sue you, or do dumb sh*t like put the pasta box and all into the boiling water!

  4. was bright and sunny out, about 80 and this came out of no were for about 20 minutes.

Hell yea man, on 2008 we were out in northern Utah in summer and it was 111 degrees out and then it hailed on us, not used to that in MN

Probably once a year we get a good hail storm here south of the cities in MN. Finally getting a new roof from insurance because of the last storm a few weeks ago! I didn't want to pay for that out of pocket, so I WAY happier just to pay my deductible.

  5. Just out of curiosity when you did the testing did you set the gain with the DD1 or that built in "technology" they have on those amps?

Edit* based on the pics of the deck with the D'Amore CD in I would assume DD1 :)

nope theirs is way off. I used our DD1 + (new technology) that is built in to the AD-1. I set it to a standard -10 db overlap. Just like i MIGHT if it was in a car.

I assumed as much, but was just curious. Be interesting to see what the results were if you did it both ways. I remember the youtube clip showing how far off the factory setting was!

  6. lol gotcha. I have customers trying to do that all the time at our store. Even if the customer doesn't care and they will take responsibility for any damages we still won't do it. But that is HD and our policies. But that is litterally a ton of brick and stuff in that back of your car. Brakes and engine must have been loving you lol.

She definitely wasn't enjoying the ride, but I took it nice and slow and gave myself PLENTY of room to brake. I normally wouldn't condone doing that, I didn't want to do that, and hate that I had to put that kind of wear on the daily....but my trailer is at a buddies garage and he had to go out of town for a family emergency as his father passed away so I was unable to get my trailer and today was the last day I could get the materials without having to pay a ridiculous restocking fee....so duty called unfortunately.

But the truck, the pavers and myself made it home safely so now I can laugh at how red neck that really was! :)

  7. Uh I hope Home depot didn't load that up for you. 'cause that is against rules lol. I wouldn't have loaded that up for you that is for sure. lol

Lol, no worries....Menards let me load it and that was my decision, not theirs. IF something would have went wrong I would have taken responsibility....I am an adult. I drove about 10 MPH the whole way home.

It wasn't ideal, it was ghetto.....but it was my only option. So I had to do what needed to be done. :)

  8. I thought I would buy a lowering kit for the daily today:

Ok, so maybe not the traditional lowering kit:

    IMG_1157_zps8a8e9b49.jpg

That is 140 pavers at 22 pounds a piece, 55 top caps (not sure how much they weighed in at,) and not pictured is the 32 bags of fill for leveling:

Fortunately it is only about an 8 mile trip home, made it safely.....but I was white knuckling it the entire way preying not to have a blow out! LOL :)
