  1. Unless I have missed it posted someplace else, were you going to post up a video of the AD-1 in meter mode using the IM-SG to create the spectrum analyzer? Very interested in seeing this function!!!

Need to see if I can move some funds around and pick one of these beasts up! I am not a shop, and have severly toned down the amount of installs I do, but a tool like this is first of all almost too cool/fun to pass up, and really creates such an opportunity to get the most out of the money we put into our cars in the first place. I like knowing my investments are being used to their full potential! :)

Sorry to bump, but hadn't seen anything yet. Was still looking to see if there is, or will be a video showing more about using the AD-1 in conjunction with the IM-SG to create a spectrum analyzer? Very interested in this.

  3. What I think happened is that when these individuals were asked hwo they tuned they said with a dd-1 and they probably havent even seen it. I know far too many people who use them, me included that have no issues whatsoever. It caught fire on this topic because people were doing what they had to do to get their amps warranty repaired and not have to come out of pocket.

This right here is the EXACT reason why I will let anyone use my DD-1, CC-1 or IM-SG to tune their equipment and walk them through it. Read the manual word-by-word to them as they do the tweaking, but I will not touch their equipment. They must do all the turning of knobs or whatever else they are working on themselves. Seems all to quickly once someone drives away and you have no idea what they do after they are gone that people will do whatever it takes to save their own "rear axles!" I am not going to have them knocking on my door blaming me for anything.

Sucks that things have to get like that, but that is the same reason why I stopped doing "side jobs" for friends. I had an ex-buddy try to make me pay to have his car repainted after I painted it and he rear-ended another car and the only thing that happened to his was some paint chipping and a small dent. Tried to say I didn't paint it right if the paint chipped.

The old saying really holds true....a few bad apples spoil it for everyone.

hence the reason i have a man cave with MY OWN shit in it and not a store-front shop. I don't want customers. Unless its me buiding a box and handing it to the person. For the most part, i avoid touching anyone's car. Its all lovely until a year later and the window stops rolling up or something totally unrelated...and its ALWAYS your fault. Fuck that. I don't know how shops deal with it.

It really is amazing what people will try to do to pass the buck onto someone else. I have had the pleasure of listening to some of the "complaints" our company gets on our products.....absolutely blows my mind what people try to do to get things for free, or make a buck!

  5. i always thou you had to patent something before it came out for sale or some 1 can steal it

No, for sellers protection you file your patent prior to selling to put it into patent pending status, can take up to 3 or 4 yrs for the patent to actually be approved.

The US is terribly slow at approving them because tgey have such a massive backlog of applications!

Congrats! I know it was pumped when mine were granted!

what do you have a patent on?

For cut dough applications, equipment, and formulation. I do R&D for General Mills, I work with some people who have 30 or more patents and trade secrets.

My Australian patent was filed and granted in less then 6 months, and I have 4 other pending patents in the US that are going on 3 years pending! Lol

It's a cool ass feeling getting that first one for sure!!
