So...many...CHOICES!
Think I'd have to go with the Saleen S7. Just something about it that calls to me. lol

Planning a system for it, or are you just going to have a "regular" car?
I wouldn't mind having one of those myself actually. One of the few hatchbacks I like (though, I do love me some wagons).

Just as an FYI, to use IMG tags, you have to put a "/" in front of the last "IMG" inside the brackets.
Like This:
[IMG=BlahBlahBlah]

EDIT: Realized that that could look a little obnoxious. I can't help you with info on rebuilding the sub, but I can link you to a page that teaches you how to post pictures.
In the mean time, this is the page I found on the AWT18X
EDIT2: OP, I found this: http://www.canadiancaraudio.com/online/gen...18x-repair.html

Heh, me too.
I don't even want to know WHOSE vehicle it is going into. I want to know WHAT vehicle it is going into. ARGH! The suspense is KILLING me!

meh an album of hasbeens
im looking more forward to the eminem album
I think I'm going to pick it up just to complete my Dre collection, but I agree with this statement.
Who know, it may be the album of the year? He's been working on it for long enough.

If you get in that vehicle,

So my buddy has a 2001 camry xle, great car. we were about 60% done installing a low-line crunch amp to go along with my old kicker sub, less than 200rms total, 8 gauge Monster brand ampkit.
his dad comes in gloating that he's an electrician and says that you cant install this "system" because the car is already drawing too much power.....stock. but what kind of electrician doesnt have a DMM laying around anywhere?
he's a house electrician and he thinks that blowing fuses is the end of the world, i told him its a safety device and its meant to be blown if something goes wrong so theres no more damage done. anyways his dad keeps going on how you cant do this do that etc. and get this, he actually needed me to tell him why and where you needed to ground the amp. i told him on a surface that is clean with all paint grinded off then bolted to that spot then he actually started to look around under the rear deck in between the 2 speakers for a ground spot...
can i call bullshit on the drawing too much power? iirc a car barely uses 10-20amps of current with no accesories on and maybe like 60-70amps with all accessories on (i would need to clamp it to check for actual output though)
I can't give you numbers, but from what I'm given to understand, there is a small amount of overhead in the electrical system. If the car is stock and in good condition, it wouldn't be "overdrawing" power.
It may be possible this could be the straw that breaks the camel's back, but in my untrained opinion, it is highly unlikely.
Either way, I wouldn't say "call BS" but I wouldn't worry about it too much.
just sounds like he doesn't want you guys to mess with the car. This all the way. I was thinking it, but didn't want to say it. lol

I dont understand the thread title. This vehicle came out in the late 70s or early 80s. And this vehicle is not what made lamborghini famous. the rivalry with ferrarri in the formula 1 , and european road racing circuits are what made lamborghini and ferrarri the companies the are today. Even most lambo collectors and aficionados will tell you this vehicle is a black sheep of lamborghini's historu.
^This^
Honestly, this is the beginnings of Lamborghini.
And if you mean the start of their car building it starts here.
Maybe we're just missing the point of what you were trying to say?
Either way, I do like that truck.
Im not 100% sure about this but these were going to be used in our military but werent because we took the cheaper route... hummerid drive it... wouldnt change a thing either except put some offroad wheels and tires and some tint on it smile.gif
I'm not 100% sure on this either, but I would think the US Military would have used Jeep before they used this. IIRC, those were the two the government was looking at before they chose the HMMWV. The Jeep was cheaper, but it wasn't the workhorse they needed it to be.
It's been a while since I've seen that show, but I think that's what was said.

Is it just me, or is the site down?

When I saw the topic I was like wat? lol Then I read up to "finally got a pic, for some reason the pic looks terrible" and was like "WTF is he doing looking at Chicken's cock(s)?!" Then for some inexplicable reason, I scrolled down to see the picture.

question kinda dumb considering what you quoted lol
Eh, that's how dumbasses like me learn. We ask obvious questions.
-
its very real, the perpose was supposed to be for linearity
So it's more of an SQ sub than a SPL?
Has anyone actually heard one?
-
you could what kind of car, truck is itcould i fit 4 in the trunk of a 98 lesabre
EDIT: W00T! First post of 2009!

the AQ and DD can be tossed out the window...Mojo's sound like crap sealed too.
Not really actually. A friend of mine has his (2 15s) in a sealed box (though, it isn't really sealed anymore it blew the back wall of the box off) and while it isn't the best sounding sub I have ever heard, it is far from the worst.
EDIT: I'm talking about the MOJOs.
-
Does anybody have it? What are your opinions of it. Not asking for a download, but I want a non-critic opinion of the CD before I buy it.
-
In a perfect world assuming it was all good equipment on the exact same power, box type, orientation, etc... four 10s. More cone area.
EDIT: posted late...
This.
Though, as you know box construction plays a HUGE role. Two 15s in a poorly made box will almost always lose out to 10s in a well made one.

nice car dude.well besides the audio what are you gonna put on their?bigger charger?rims?
edit: wait its turbo chargerd?SICK
i thought it was super charged oh well still kick ass
They used to be supercharged. Several factors, including new emissions standards made keeping a supercharger impractical.
I'm not complaining though. All around turbos are better IMO.

If you guys want I could make a video of my 2.1 Altec Lansing. Just name what song you want me to play.
Can I request two?
Thug Motivation 101 and Put On?
I'd be very appreciative.

he's saying check out the avatar. avi = avatar. the speaker in the avatar is a logitech speaker
OIC. I couldn't tell anyway. Firefox's rendering makes that thing JUMP!
To be honest, while I was posting, I was looking in the picture, but didn't make the connection between avi and avatar, even when I use that abbreviation myself.
Anyway, virtually anything is going to be an upgrade from what I have. Laptop speakers suck. I figure while I'm already upgrading (and I have the money) I may as well go as big as my budget will allow me.
I bought these about 4 days ago and boy I love them. They hit prettty damm hard and pick up every low except for below 20hertz. here they are http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...3051&catid=I'd looked at Altec Lansing,
A) if I did go with them I'd get these (no offense, I just like the remote): http://alteclansing.com/index.php?file=nor...oduct_id=vs4221
the Logitechs seem to be hitting harder. I can't be sure without hearing them myself, but that is just my conclusion from hearing people say that the ALs are nicely balanced, but the Logitechs have overbearing bass. And with me, I have a feeling their "overbearing" is my "purrfect". lol

huh?
Don't set the HU where the rear preout is for a sub. Have the HU "think" it is still for the rear. If you set the HU for the sub, it will only play the sub's part (in other words, all frequencies higher than what the sub would play will be cut).

im a bit logitech fan (check out the avi its a z-560 sub) but id def recommend going with the z-2300 theyre some badass 2.1 speakers
Is that an older model or something? Because I can't find anything about it on Logitech's site. And the only thing I'm coming up with related to avi and speakers is this:
http://www.avihifi.com/index.html
And that's just a little out of my price range.

Logitech Z-2300:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00...P2/ref=dp_olp_2
My friend has these, along with a set of Logitech Z-5500 (~$400). The bass is much cleaner and much louder on the Z-2300. Does start to get distorted at ~90% volume though (most I've heard in this price range do).
Those are actually what I was looking at. Couldn't find anything that I thought was better than that without jumping up into the $150-$300 range. Just wanted a second opinion before I pulled the trigger.
Now I need to decide whether I want this or Rock Band more.
I'm still open to other suggestions. (Though I doubt anyone is actually watching this thread.)

super smash brothers brawl on Wi-Fi.
i'm old school vet since 64 days.
I'm up for Brawl. I suck though.
As for RB/GH, I'm thinking more scorehero type set up instead of playing online against each other. Where we post scores instead of actual head to head. Maybe with picture confirmation?
That way, you can have more than one console competing against each other. They're all similar enough where there shouldn't be an advantage of having one version over another.

Thank you everyone for your help, and thank you Daddy for posting the video. I decided on the Z-2300. I already have a decent sound card in my desktop, though this will primarily be used with my laptop (laptop speakers FTMFL).
Now comes the part of online shopping I really hate. I'm really anxious to get these things in. I have a shitty camera, but I may put up a video when I get them in.
