  1. That's the quickest way to get me to not reply.

Seriously, I can get down with shorthand. I rarely use it, but whatever. I can understand mistyping/misspelling something. I can even see when you use incorrect grammar because people don't use correct grammar while speaking. I normally type FAR better than I speak, but whatever.

But when your message is so obviously fucked that it becomes a chore to read...

  2. so would 2 ohms be the best option? and also when I"m looking at these amps it says ####watts @ 2 ohm X 1 channel. Does this mean 1500 watts on one channel is split into both subs? because its a mono amp

Best is relative. Its the cheapest option though. Finding an amplifier that will make 1500 - 2k at 4 ohm is not going to be cheap.

And if I'm understanding you correctly, the answer to your question is yes. If its 1500 into one channel, each sub will be getting 750 watts. 1500 / 2.

  3. if you are just using a cheap hand held one, yes. but let me ask you this, when you have the bass turned up full tilt do you really care if there is a slight amount of distortion? could you ever actually hear it? wouldnt all the rattling panels be 100x worse?

but this isnt a topic about the dd1 so lets not make it into one.

In your substage could you hear the difference? Likely not. For low frequencies, don't you have to be at like 10% distortion or higher before most actually hear it?

However, when talking about something like a midrange speaker or a tweeter, yes, I believe you would be able to tell the difference. Dudes over at Pulse could.

  4. Okay so as long as I set the gains correctly then this setup will totally work?

Yes, find someone with a o-scope or better yet get urself one of these Click Here and learn to set ur gains urself :)

could you explain to me how that is better than an oscope? It's faster and more simple to use but I don't see how it's ''better''

An oscope (well, the scopes we use) would only be able to tell you if you're clipping. The DD1 tells you whether or not you have distortion.

As I know you know, you can have distortion without clipping, but you can't have clipping without distortion.

  5. Does the 360.2 not offer that.... Maybe I read it wrong

I'm fairly certain you can bandpass using the 360.2.

Running active gives you more control over crossovers and more power to the speakers since the crossover isn't robbing some of the power. Remember, you will never have a conductor that is 100% efficient.

It allows you to tune drivers to your car. Not your car, joes suburban, and suzys boom box project.

  6. Someone here on SMD built it, and did a great job on it. It was for his dad, but I guess it exceeded some expectations.

As I said, I'am a big fan of the tline band pass designs, and they have never failed me with output overall. Low freq extension, efficiency, and sexiness

I remember this. I think it was for punkrok.

Stupid question. How do you mount the sub in a bandpass this small? Well, small when compared to the bandpasses you see invans and such.

  7. Ok. Carfax are all gone. To those who got a report stupid carfax doesn't let me save the report so I can't send the carfax report as one file I'm using the snipping tool to capture the screen in portions and sending it to you. But if you like I can print it out and mail it to you.

In windows there should be a "printer" that prints to a file. Either XPS printer or PDF printer.

  8. I think the general consensus is nobody is really upset about the delay, everyone is hella excited to get their hands on a new toy, the ISF is cool, and everyone (except Techforce lol) wants theirs signed.

Make sure Ray doesn't put his balls on mine please.

EDIT:Hell. If they want, everyone there can sign mine. Just one big DD1 signing party.
