  1. Like the vast majority of people on here, I really enjoy listening to music. Normally, when I am listening to music on my computer, I just use headphones, but that can be somewhat inconvenient, especially when trying to let someone listen with me.

Anyway, I'm looking for a 2.1 computer speaker set. I'm mainly using it to listen to music, though they will see the FPS every once in a blue moon. I don't want anything extremely extravagant (i.e. building my own system using home theater subs, etc); I want a system in a box that I can unpack and hook up.

My price range is relatively flexible, but I'm looking for something that is $100-120, though if it is cheaper, that is definitely a good thing. I'm mainly going to be listening to rap/hip hop/R&B, though playing various sub-genres of rock, techno, and another genre that is a mix between folk and blues won't be uncommon. Basically, lows are my main consideration, but not at the expense of mids and highs.

    Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  2. My vote, go for either a blackberry or something running windows mobile. The BlackJack II is a good entry level smart phone. Personally I'm looking at the Tilt and the Epix (I think that's what it's called) for windows phones, and the 8820 and the bold for blackberry. My main feature is WiFi though, so if that's not important, your options open up greatly.

This is just my opinion though: when it comes to phones, don't skimp because of price. If you can wait until you can afford what you REALLY want and get it, otherwise you will be kicking yourself for the next few months/years. My parents learned that lesson the hard way. I'm not saying put yourself in debt buying a phone, or if two phones will suit your purposes to get the expensive phone because its expensive.

Think of it this way, would you rather save your money and buy DC, Fi, etc. or jump the gun and end up with Pyle?

EDIT: Also, skip over the Pantech Duo. I've heard nothing but bad things about the hinges. They feel very weak. To be completely honest, and this is just me, and I have nothing to substantiate anything against the company, but I wouldn't buy anything from Pantech. It seems to me for one of your first forays into mainstream (that I know of) smart phone production, you would try and put your best foot forward. If this was their best foot, then I want nothing to do with them.

Pantech also made one of the Helio phones. IIRC it was the ocean.

  3. actually, thinking about it, last night I seen what looked like a plane with its wings completely lit up at flying last night at 730pm, I was laying in bed, facing towards north, and from what I seen, it looked like it did a L shape, or almost a U turn.

I could not tell what it was at all, but to me, it looked like a prop plane flying about 1000 fet up, about 1000 feet away towards the north, thats what it seems like it was, wings alll lite up, bright

I wonder if I seen the same thing?

I wonder what time the meteor was

if it wasn't the meteor, then what did I see? Meteors can skip over the atmosphere like rocks on a pond, so thats what i was thinking

    who knows now....

Anyone else in Sacramento see what I seen around 730pm-8pm??

You were in bed...at 7:30? Cougholdmancough.

megets on horse..."THE ALIENS ARE COMING! THE ALIENS ARE COMING!

    Yes that was random.

  4. Is there a such thing as having "too much amperage?" Could I end up doing more harm than good by adding on a bigger alt? I'm asking because I have a feeling mine is going to take a dump in the near future, and figured as long as I'm getting rid of one, I might as well upgrade, but don't know if I could end up doing more damage than if I just stayed with a stock one.
