holy shit into your taillight bolt? really? you didnt think that was the issue yourself? get it to the frame of your vehicle and 8 gauge wire isn't think enough for 1600 watts either you need 0 gauge really. But that amp also dosen't do rated. So go pick you up some awg 4 gauge and put a good ground on it.

What does your power and ground look like? how do you have your sub wired to it?

That right there is a lv6m2 4" coil proto, but the XL internals are the same as this pic, just a 3" coil instaed of a 4"
