Well I have 3 fi Q's sealed at 1.6 each and it pounds at 2000rms! I would think 2 wouldn't sound bad either. At $259 its not too bad....but in a trunk car w/o fold down seats I don't think 2 12's r gonna be enough to have a mini party n the backyard that doesn't require a decent size box. What's wrong with 3? Go with somthing you can fit in a 1.0 per chamber and leave a little space!

lol yes unfortunately i havent heard anything louder than this setup and was able to talk to the driver about what he has. i as sum1 else said its not nearly any places to preview speakers that i know of locally. only place that would be close is close to downtown but they are so determined to sell you anything you cant get nothing else out of them btw i stay in the culver city area. well still undecided but with only about 5-6cubes to work with (2000 Lex GS400) i doubt i would have space for even two 12 L7's ported so maybe one 15/18 Q or BL? guess ill be searching high and dry for someone on the forums thats close to with a similiar setup

once again i am not looking for an SQ speaker just asking out of these two which one can play decent tones in a daily driver. KRANNYMAN, thatks for letting me know how LOUD a Q gets. i had no idea it was as loud as L7's while still retaining good sound quality. Like i said i havent heard any FI's in person so it good to know that there SQ speaker can still be LOUD Anyone know a shop in Los Angeles area where i can hear some FI setups?

no, what i meant by that is my personal experience with subs i would rank the L7's the CLOSEST to an spl setup being that they are the probably the loudest that i had the chance to hear. i know its apples to oranges but not quite what i, trying to get into. point is i know some subs arent to high in the SQ catergory ie: L7 and btl (only thing im comparing is sq here) The L7 isnt really horrible sounding to me so if the btl has the same or better quality then i dont mine. I understand it all depends on the enclosure and everything else but certaint subs have traits before hand...like a q series is sq while bl/btl is considered spl....now on the sound quality side of the spl speakers i was asking if those two (L7&BTL) are close in that sense not in loudness/db's fyi= considering putting the BTL in a ported 4.5cube box

first and for most glad to be apart of the board! now ive been doing alot of reading on this forum for the past 2 weeks so im not just going out on a limb. i know these two speakers are far from sq/sql subs but i like alot of bass but i want it to sound somewhat clear when doing so as it is my daily driver. Reason why i picked the L7 for my comparison is because 2 15inch L7s with 1.88cu.ft per sealed chamber are probably the only woofers ive heard personaly that will fall close to an spl setup. The sound quality was tolerable and i was wondering if the a fully loaded 15" BTL would fall in the same SQ range as the L7? im located in los angeles and i dont know of any dealers that carry this BTL so i can actually hear it for myself? I want to go loud but for it to sound good while doing it and not just bass drowning my ears with no detail. thanks in advance
