well i got the other amp and before i hooked it up i opened it to check it out....just to find that this amp has the same problem. that being said Freemans Car Audio in Charlotte NC will fix them for $125 each. they are great amps but im wondering if i want to spend $250+ or save that money and stack some more up for something new.

i have a 96 Ram and i took and drilled out all the brackets that hold the center console in and built a box that held 3 12's the went from the dash to the back seat that way i could keep the backseat. even without the box there it was a nice look to just have two separate bucket seats without that console.

well the good news is...i have a buddy with one that has just been sitting in his house so im going to pick it up later today( for the free) hopefully it works and i can get back up and running. im thinkin about buyin me an AQ 3500 tho.....

i love those Alpine's. i used to have two different ones both hooked up to the alpine 6disc in dash changer.

LOL, yeah im aware of the problem thanks. in my state of morning that made me laugh just wondering what might have caused it and if its repairable?

RF Punch 800a2 old "black and grind" series

so i hop in my truck to goto my pops house, turn the truck on, the radio comes on, the vol is at 35 out of 80 the bass knob is all the way down. after about 15 sec i hear a little pop so i look back and see smoke coming from one of my sub amps. i take it out and this is what i find: in the 2 pics above ^ you can see the two burnt resistors in the 3 pics above ^ you can see the burnt diode on the left and what a good diode looks like just to the right of the capacitor so i found one burnt diode and two burnt resistors. with the vol down and the bass not even playing i have no idea what could have gone wrong. do you think this is repairable? any ideas on what could have caused this?

i can vouch fro his designs. he has done two for me so far
