  1. 12 dc level 3 15's on 2 Crescendo 3500's would be loud haha. That right there is about 4000.00 without wire or electrical upgrades like batterys and alternators... box alone will be a few hundred in wood.

my bad didnt see his budget. in that case a couple dc xl 18's on 2 crescendo 2k's would be a pretty good daily. Crescendo 2ks are around 340 shipped. Look into their new 4channels and speakers they are coming out with they are great and price point cant be beat.

Electrical wise id look into getting a couple XS Power D3100's and the biggest battery you can fit underhood.

  2. thanks Bumpindemlowzz any body good with google sketch and sketch somthing up for me?

sorry man. I seen that your running a 3500 per 2 15's that are rated at 600 rms. I would recommend a 2500 and i smaller more effecient box for the fifteens. Maybe 3 cubes per and around 12sq inches of port per cuft. My blazer really likes port on the drivers side of the box, so port exiting not to the rear of the blazer but on the side of the box. hope this helps im a lil tired haha

  3. ok they are components and i was only runng like 50watts. if they are blown wouldnt a tweeter or the mid still work, or do they both go at the same time. Speakers are RF T2 6.5's

Edit- Just put the 6.5 mid on my text bench and it still works fine. So does the tweeter.

  4. Sounds like either bad RCAs, deck is fucked, or something is grounding off where it isnt supposed to. What changed? You had a situation where it was working. You left and did X or moved something, not it doesnt work. Solve for 'X' please. :good:

I removed 3m electrical tape and used shrink wrap and soldered all connections upfront. Took them all apart and re did it to solve this issue and it doesnt seem to be the problem. Im about to go buy rcas but i checked the rcas and they put out a consistant 3.5 volts i have 4v preouts so 3.5 is normal.

  5. I checked the 2channel and it seems to be cycling into protect mode. The voltage is car off and car on. I only go down to 13volts full tilt on decaf. What would cause it to protect? Connections to the amp itself are great power and groundwise also at the battery.

Thatll also do it. Bad RCAs, make sure wire is not grounding off somewhere or frays are sticking out of terminals, voltage doesnt seem to be a problem. I would try new RCAs first and see if that helps, if you have a set to switch out.

My sub is working fine. I connect the sub amps rcas to 2 channel in the proper place on the headunit and it does the same thing. I checked the rcas theres no tears or damage anywhere. I wondering if its the amp.

  6. I checked the 2channel and it seems to be cycling into protect mode. The voltage is car off and car on. I only go down to 13volts full tilt on decaf. What would cause it to protect? Connections to the amp itself are great power and groundwise also at the battery.

  7. Ground is to battery and the battery is grounded to frame so that cant be the problem. I checked the connections to the speakers and they are good. I cant figure it out for shit. Im usually pretty good with this stuff. I checked the rcas for tears and grounding out and still nothing. I switched the sub amp rcas to 2 channel and on the deck and its doing the same thing.

  8. I'm having a issue with my 2channel install. I had it running great for 4 hours then got home to shrink wrap my wires and stuff and now isn't working properly. Here is the issue- I have a Alpine 105 deck which is connected to a Kicker zx200.2. I turn the volume past 3 on the deck and the speakers cut out and only the drivers side speakers will work then cut out again. I checked connections behind the deck and all seem to be great, Woofer is working fine i believe and doesn't cut out. Again it was working fine a half hour ago. Any suggestions?
