Idk bud.
I'm gonna let someone with more knowledge take over.
But lose that cap, it's not helping
Ok, thanks for trying to help.I can switch rcas to either amp and no problem, but when i try to run both i have issues. lol weird!

Sounds like either your voltage is bad or you might have a bad ground on one amp.
Amplifiers?
Electrical upgrades?
Nice size wire on power and ground, and a Bosh cap.
-
Hmm, model # of amp?
xm1652z. Now when i start the car and the stereo is on but not playing anything it dose that bump, bump noise.

Its a old Pioneer h/u. The amps are Sony 1000s. You know how you have a left and a right on your RCAs? I take 1 splitter and plug it to one side, take the other splitter and plug it to the other side.I then put one l/r to one amp, and then the same to the other side.I beat on it for a little while then it went out. This happend years ago, but then i was using a Kenwood h/u with damm i forget what amps they were. I know the Sonys are crap but thtas all i can afford. It shouldnt matter what amps they are, cause this happend before, years apart. lol.

Ok here is my problem.Let me start off saying that i did the same thing 5 years ok and had the same problem. How do you run 2 sub amps off of your head unit without killing your head unit?I got two splitters and ran one to each amp.All was good, then the subs went out.I turned off my car, turned it back on and then it went bump, bump, bump.Every time it went bump the subs moved.I disconnected one set of splitters and ran them to one amp, fine.Switched to the other amp, fine. Try to run both at same time, bump, bump. When this happend years ago a stereo repair man told me something about to much voltage or something like that. So, how can i run two sub amps without killing my stereo?

I just bought the pioneer deh-p7100bt and its ad2p capable. Its freaking awesome as my ipod isnt compatible with the H/U. So now I just load my shit on the crackberry and stream it via bluetooth.
The thing to look for is if your H/U is ad2p capable.
Thanks!

i have a mac mini, a 60gig ipod (permanent) and my iphone as sources. The ipod is on usb, the iphone is on bluetooth.
Thanks man!

he used his iphone and it was going to the headunit. my cousin has the same h/u and i can do it with my iphone and itouch
that pioneer premeier?
-
I bought one of these last year and had to sell it due to being laid off.Well im now looking for another one.
-
steve did it through his mini mac hes got hooked to his head unit not the head unit its self.
oh ok thanks but it should work though right?
-
you have to have a bluetooth enabled headunit
why not just use the 1/8th jack that near every radio on the market comes with now
i was just wondering thats all.I seen Mead do it in one of his vids and was wondering if it had to be a special h/u or not.
-
Just a quick question.If i have a Ipod touch and a h/u that is bluetooth,can i stream my music?Doesit have to be a ceartin h/u?
-
and if it makes you feel any better the video still won't play for me lol.

So ur asking questions about a vehicle you don't have yet or even know if you'll have the money for :01nocomment8so:
But ignoring that fact you might be able to fit them in there with sum creativity and possibly sum glassing.
yes im asking about a car that i dont have yet.Im asking now because i have a 90% chance that my truck will be totald out.I know my trucks worth more than what the price of the RX7 would cost.If my truck is fixable i will stay with plan A,that is putting 2 15s in my truck.I dont want to try to sell these subs because i wont get what i paid for them.Im just wondering if it was possible. How would you design a box for it?
-
what subs did you pick up?
I got them from just1moreamp they are custom built subs ill post pics after work.He told me they need 4 or so cubic feet per sub.
-
Why 15 what about a single 18" Fi audio woofer wouldnt that blow the car apart? Lol :hairtrick:
I already have my subs and i paid a pretty good price for them.I probably wont be able to sell them for what i paid for them.
-
rock a single 15, im sure itll pound in that thing. Not really sure of anything with those cars, if theres a rear seat, im assuming there is, are you willing to scrap it?
no it dose not have a back seat its a 2 seater.
-
man that would be hell of a tight fit.In my early years i had a 1980 1st gen with 2 12 Cerwin Vegas and that box was 5 cubs or so and it was tight. The box wasnt tall it was only a foot or so cant remember but it was long and it pounded. Thanks for the reply.
any one else out there have any ideas?
-
hella tight squeeze but with some creativity you can fit it

After all this time i finally got all my system together.Long story short,i got rearended by some 18 year old on the way to work last week and 10 to 1 they are gonna total my truck out.Yehh im pissed off,but shit happens.I "had" a ext cab Chey 1500 and was going with 2 15s,but now thats not gonna happen.Im looking into a 1st gen RX-7 that i can get cheap.Do you think i can squeeze 2 15s in the back.I dont have the car near me its coming from N.J if i buy it.Im kinda picking my car around my system.Any of you guys or girls know if this is possible?

Running 2 sub amps?
in Amplifiers
Posted
Well this is what i found out.I unpluged my rcas from my sub out and ran rcas from my front and rear outs and solved the problem. Now i have no sub out.So i guess i need a crossover so i can run my high amp. I still need to know why this happens.
