  1. Hopefully when I put it in a New box tommorrow it hits right
  2. Yeah the amp needs to be set right.
  3. Its wired to 1 Ohm i gues the Giagram I got is 1 Ohm 1 wire goes from the Negative on one post to the other negative on oppasite post and same for the positive then I got the Negative hooked to the left side and the Positive hooked to the right side and running to my amp so 1 ohm right ?
  4. Ok sorry for the rudeness I re -read what I typed I was in the worng sorry to all who was offended and ty derrick for setting straight
  5. The amp is mounted in the middle of the seat for now tell I figure out the problem where its been since I hooked it up, I hooked the speaker and amp up after I got both of them I know how to hook a system up not that retarded but the 1 ohm one was different but Fi got me a giagram and I wired it according to the chart and it all started from the start it was doing that so I figure its the Amp not being tuned right cause when Fi called me and was telling me what to do and I set the Subsonic down lower the speaker didnt do it at the volume it had been doing it , it made it where it had to be turned up loader.
  6. Ok I am the one who bought it and I am old school only thing I had back in the day was a punch amp with treble and bass knob on it you hooked and went with a sealed box most the time. I got a JVC Head Unit KS Model bought brand new RCA jacks are Phoenix Gold Wireing kit also came with 60 amp fuse or maybe 80 amp. Had a 500.2 Kicker amp and 2 12" audiobahns hooked up b4 I got this 12" from him. Hooked it all up speaker is right all wires are right and what happens is the speaker cuts in and out at high volume and amp lights dim'en I took care of fuseing wireing and double checked the speaker wireing all is good Took it by Hotwired Car Audio and they said speaker was on its last leg and said If I wanted to trade it for another speaker in the store they would give me a good deal. So that was obvious then that they were trying to get something for nothing so I left called my buddy who compeats in contest around my area he's in the 155 and 156 db with 2 15 L7 Kickers he knows his stuff I guess seeing how he hits that hard..lol But anyways he said stay away from thoughs morons over there he took a speaker to them and they said it was blown and he was getting it meterd or something like that and it was fine.. But he came by stuck something on the speaker says the speaker is fine and he seen the box asked me what it was tuned to I said well thought it was 32hz but got messed up somehow building around the console and it came out to 17 or 16 hz instead he rolled on the ground laughing for about 10 mins then said lets build you a box he is designing a box were putting it in tommorrow and he is going to tune the amp to the speaker also whatever that means and he said should hit hard as hell when he's finished. So i keep you all posted.. He said its the Box and the Amp both BTW he said the box needs to be in the mid 30's and the amp needs to be set once the speaker is in ? Does this make since ?
  7. Do your homework Read next time readit b4 you post >< I said in the video did I say your useing 2 amps NO I SAID IN THE VIDEO YOU ARE SO STFU IDIOT!
  8. Just Wondering you said 1- 1500D Amp does that mean to each one because on youtube your useing 2 1500D amps going 1 to each speaker ? Was you busted or posted wrong. OUCH!
  9. Well I changed the Ground to the same size and Not a signle change so what could be causeing the speaker to do that. It acts like its not getting enough power you turn it up and the lights on the amp start going dim and bright and the speaker starts skipping best way I can describe it the speaker pumps up and down acting like your hooking it up and unhooking it really fast ? any help when I turn the volume down it fixs itself but nowhere near the bass that it should have ? Please quick replys I have to go to work in 4 hours..lol wanna fix it b4 work. Thanks all
  10. Does it hurt to have the Ground wire bigger then the Power wire ?
  11. Yeah I just watched a Steve Meade video and was fixin to ask if I was clipping it. So its the Ground doing it then ? And as far as the fuse goes will it be ok for like a day or does it need to be changed out Immediatly also ? And the Amp hole is a 4 gauge hole so if I went to 0 Gauge how do I fit it in there ? Thanks for the Info all
  12. Bought a New 12" Fi BL well used one , and bought a Refurbished 1600D Brutus HiFonics Amp hooked it up today and the amp sounds like its skipping so to speak. I figured maybe it could be the ground witch is 8 Gauge where the Power is a 4 Gauge and its running a 60 amp fuse do I need to change the Fuse to 100 amp and ground to a 4 gauge and will that fix the problem ? Cause what it does is when u turn the Level up on the amp like the radio output volt thing. It sounds like its skipping or shutting off and on so fast that it makes it sound like its skipping is this the reason cause I double checked my hook ups and speaker wireing. so thats the only thing I can figure I had a Kicker 500.2 Amp hooked up to 2 12" Audiobahns before so I used the same wireing , I was thinking maybe ground was not big enough and the fuse a friend said it needed to be at least 100 for a 1600 watt amp ? Thanks
  13. I had a 92 Firbird with 2 12" JL Audios in a stealth box with just a old Punch 100ix Mosfet Amp. like 50x2 right and this sysstem hit so hard in my firbird it wasnt funny I just want to know what kind of amp i need to push those hard in the Trunk of the caddy. I am plaining on doing a whole system in my 99 Silverado truck think 3 10's or 4 8's one or the other no more then a 1,000 watt amp. Just need some help should the JL's be in truck or car and what can I do with this setup to get Bass window Flexin hard hits. ? I really wanna know because i been outta the speakers so long what would be a Hard hiting sytem for under 1,000 dollars ? Whole system head unit and all ? No more then 1375 for sure ?
