  1. Uploaded some updates on my build

  2. Just unhooked it from the battery and told him if it wasnt installed correctly his amp warranty was void. He didnt want it done so i wrote it on his receipt that there was no warranty and sent him on his way.
  3. He had it run under the car then threw the trunk floor with no gromit. have toget the pics of the trunk there was 3 pieces of 18 gauge remote wire from the 2/0 to the amp all wires were bare and just twisted together.
  4. Had a guy buy an amp and alarm a few days ago . He said he knew what he was doing and was going to install the amp himself. So it cam in today for the alarm install and i took a look at his amp install and look what i found lol yea thats 2/o with some 16 gauge speaker wire jammed behind the gm battery post...lol
  5. Then follow my instructions above for the vats. i had an arura that gave me problems like you are decribing. doing this will bypass the vats and will work fine. hope this is a help
  6. Look at the key. is there a metal chip on it ? if so its vats . measure the resistance of the chip (meter prob on each side) get a resister of that value then solder it in the vats wires . there 2 white wires in a yellow or orange plastic tube running down with ignition harness. follow that down to the big plug and use the wires on the other side of the plug( there bigger and easier to work with. cut both wires and solder the resister between the wires running away from the plug and your done. if its passlock 2 get a xko1 and wire it per instruction then you have to hook the brown wire on the xko1 to a wire that is ground when running like key sense (if its negative or use a relay and switch the pos ignition to a neg output ) then cut passlock wires from ignition ring. there yellow , black and orange/black . hope that helps
