medicine is amazing these days. not just the pills/liquids but the practice in general. a pinched nerve is nothing to worry over from what ive seen/heard from friends. but i guess theres more to it than just that? hope your dad makes a full recovery so you two can get back to doing things together.
-
why dont you leave it in the dahs and put a modern one in the glove box. hook it up with power ground and acc and it will look like its working but it wil lreally be coming from the newer unit
i may have to end up doing that.

sorry to hear that bro but being in the wheelchair isn't the end! theres a lot of great people without the ability to walk at all. good luck with everything, i hope he turns around for the better quickly.

should work but you'll have no mp3 disc controls,like folders and chapters
i dont mind that, i dont burn mp3 discs anyways. i really dont listen to a lot of burned stuff but if buddies got in and had something. i may not use it at all i dont know yet. im lookin into a carputer if I can hide everything in the glovebox.
-
you have pics of the computer itself? i would love to do this but dont think i could fit the computer anywhere.
-
alright, on the deck it has a pause/play for the cd, so i guess the ff/rw type stuff works on the disc as well.
on the back its got the line outs for front/rear then it has a big black round plug to the "changer or external unit" and it also has a pair of RCA's that say "to changer"
-
That deck is early but it might have Cd changer controls. Does it have a big round plug in the back? back in those days it was an M-bus changer controls. There is an adapter out that switches it from M-bus to Ai-net. Then You can run the newer 6 disc changer that will play burned cd's
exactly what i was looking for if mine wasnt going to work. i will have to go look at the controls...brb

maybe i could just hook up the old one and hope i can use just my ipod straight to the amps or something. it would just be sick to use the old alpine setup.
-
not output, I mean input...
im not real sure...maybe? lol. i can go look if i know what to look for, if theres a way to tell.
and what would you use an input for?
-
somehow I doubt it, but does the old HU have any input source? Like RCAs coming in?
yes, it does. its one of the old alpines that needed an amp to even work. so yes, it has two sets i believe.
-
Umm...why wouldn't you just install the new Alpine in place of the old one?
in short, because i dont want to?
in detail....my old alpine is from 91 or so, and thats the style of my build, early 90s minitruckin. i want the alpine in the dash and the new one hidden.
anyone want to answer my question.
-
once again i thought i posted this before and couldn't find it. i have my old school alpine, and want to get a new school head unit as well to run under the seat. reason being my old school alpine wont play burned cd's or my ipod. so i want to get a cd player that will. my only concern is the tuning, wont it change between each source? i may be able to get it how i want with the new unit but if i switch from it to the old school alpine, that tuning wont be around anymore. right?
anyways, how would i wire this up?
-
i believe its circa 91. 18 years and counting. I plan on having it over hauled for my truck. I want to run it, with a new school unit under the seat.
-
all those 100's in the lux!! love it!

Alright, I have an older kicker kx400.2 i believe it is and it's not working. I only found one little connection broken, which is pictured below. Would it hurt to try and push them back together and solder them lightly? It wouldn't void a warranty, and it wouldn't be a hassle, but is it safe? I don't have any other way to power it up other than a stand alone battery that was in my truck a while back. Is it safe to run it straight off the batt to test it?

I've got a TCI parallel 4 link kit that needs some new bushings and sleeves, I emailed TCI and they are still able to get you those ends you just have to shoot em an email (will provide that address for you). Also I have a pair of firstone sleeve bags that I will let go, one has a slight rub but it still airs up and holds air. This one would probably need replacing, but a fine option for mock up. Lastly I have some below/behind bag mounts, so it's all the major stuff you need for a rear setup...
link-> 55+ ship
bags-> 40+ ship
brackets-> 20+ ship

Will let everything go for 100+ ship or piece out seperately. All four link bars go together, both bags go together, all brackets go together.

suicidedoors.com maybe?
when summer comes ima pull out a personal loan, and get a bunch of junk from there.. 4 link with cantelever kit, upper lower control arms and compresser kit, and all my fittings and everything else..
Is it a good place to get everything? this is going to be my first bag setup so idk were to buy anything.. and idk half the shit to buy eitehr haha
their shipping is typically 10% higher than anywhere else...if not more. try ricky at whynotfab.com thats the place i would order if i didnt have wholesale access. only reason i went with suicide doors is cuz it was free shipping and my guy didnt have the right fittings.
