I bought a headunit from him and haven't been notified if it has been shipped or not, last login for him was on the 19th. I'm just curious if he shipped or not and if anyone knows what is going on.

Honestly it looks WAY cleaner and it is personally a safety hazard having a wire down by your feet while driving IMO. But to each their own....

We have a few turns and intersections here where people will haul ass to pass you then cut right in front of you..it NEVER fails, at least 1 person does it at this one intersection. I also can't stand people that cut in and out of traffic. When I am driving and I see how someone is driving or they speed to try and weave in and out I will speed up and make their ass slow down.....oh it makes me feel great.....

I agree. I love it when people haul ass cutting people off and then you meet back up with them at the red light then, then I turn up the volume!

I was thinking the same thing! At least run it under the carpet IMO. I hate stuff being near my feet when driving...especially wires!

Yes I have a DMM (Fluke 21) I checked the coils and 3 seem ok but not %100 sure. I know 1 of them is %100 shot because I was getting readings from 50-100 the first time and then all the way up to 300-500ohms the next.

No I mean it was just coming out of the box and I unscrewed the subs and more smoke come out, my truck now has a horrible smell to it.....joy Anyways I e-mailed Chris with those pics to see if he can see anything wrong or not. I also emailed rusty and probably going to get the subs reconed...

I know the amp still powers on, power light comes on and so does the remote knob. The protection light stays off. I hope the amp is ok and maybe just need a recone or two. I will hook it up this week maybe and "test" the amp with a old speaker or something.

The port was about 25inches from the amp. Why?

No it was wired down to 1ohm. The amp looks fine, coils are fine. I opened up and it all looks good from what I can tell except a small area but can't tell if it is bad or not.

I'm not flaming anyone....I am emailing Chris right now. I have the dual 4ohms.

The coils seem ok on the subs but I do think that one of the coils is bad according to my DMM. I will open the amp up and see what it looks like after I open my warranty card and see if it will void it or not.

I hope it gets worked out also.....just hope it didn't blow the subs also!

Ok so I get my amp from db-r yesterday and it smelt like SHIT. I mean a horrible horrible HORRIBLE smell but thought it would be from his shop or something. Well I hooked it all up with 1/0 wiring and 12awg to my subs. I played for about 20mins with gains about 1/2way no bass boost or anything. Voltage was staying at 13.3-13.8v. After about 30secs the first time I went back to check everything and it was all cool to the touch an then checked 5mins later and the same. I then decked when I was done about 5-10mins later and the same. A friend comes over and wants to hear it so he pops his cd in and not 5seconds into the song I hear popping through my door speakers then a huge cloud of white smoke in my mirror! I first snatched the keys out and ran to the back...smoke pouring out of my port. Mind you it was perfect about an hour before. I then looked inside the amp and it looks like the coils unwrapped but the coils on my subs look ok but I hope they didn't get messed up but why smoke out of my port and box if amp is bad or could it be both? imhighly pissed right now because I just spent a ton of money and can't afford to buy it all again because I am only 16. I got the amp from db-r (refurb sundown1200d) and I have 2 DC level 3 12"s

Ok so most of you know about my build, anyways. I am only 16 and jut cut grass for income. I had $2200 saved up and in my bank account. I wet ahead and ordered 2 DC level 3 12's a refurb sundown 1200d and my wiring, volt meter and then bought a HU. Anyways so western union had to be gay as heck and cacel my transactions telling m re funds would be returned within a few mins. They top me to ahead and tryseding again Which I did and I had a total of 454$ on holds in Whig caused an overdraft (I waited about 30mins to let funds return but they didn't) anyways so mom found out about it all (she hates it and thinks it's all stupid). So I told her that I got it before summer so I could enjo it and that all my grass cutting money will go to my savings. I now get to replace $1200 before I can buy anything else! I hope to get it done before august and the seeker re better because I need an alternator and battery!! sorry about the rant but imI'm really just pissed because she thinks it is stupid. /rant

Guys remember that they don't show the actual voltage out of the package. You need to get a DMM and adjust it to the correct voltage....

I just got mine and haven't had any problems with it yet.....But mine was in different packaging and has a remote wire.

I agree that local banks are the best way to go. I was at 5/3rd Bank, RG-Crown, and South Trust (All the same location but kept changing names). I got tired of them changing and increasing fees so I went with a local bank.

Wow.... I know with my bank I have overdraft protection on my checking account so if I run out of funds it draws what is needed from my savings.....then I don't get slapped with an Overdraft fee.... Might want to see if they offer that.... Seems the both of us is having bad banking issues this week!

2 DC level 3 12's Width: 50in or less Height 18.5 inches or less Depth: 24" approx. ( I dont have my rear seats in so thats a guess that I should be good with) Those are max also....sub up and port up or whatever is fine with me as long as subs and port are on the same side.
