  1. In America, the drunk driver would go to the police station to sober up and be released next day and his insurance would cover the damage. More than likely he wouldn't even lose his license, and every one of the "vigilantes" would have went to jail for assault regardless of whether it was the right thing to do. I think I'm moving to Russia...

  2. So, since this is your design, and tooled by you, and clearly far superior to any other 8" basket on the market right now; does that mean you can slap a patent on it and sell it to other companies? I don't know how that works, but I know TC did that and they're not anything like they were anymore. I can see that as a source of income though, and the world needs a better 8" basket. Looks awesome! Guess I'll be building twin T-lines here for some sweet ass 8's in the future.

  3. I did a couple more today, can anyone tell what the DC logo is masked over on the second one? Photofuckit won't let me upload a bigger pic than this. It should be 35" wide lol

Take it easy with the splatter designs guys. I would not want to wear a shirt that looks like it received a very large money shot, regardless of how sexy DC audio is. Haha. There is a lot of design talent on SMD, thats fo sho!

  4. i know so im thinking if i should put them in craiglist for sale. but i still dont know what set up to go with.

so you saying go with the t.2000s?

arent the GZPW same as the old xxx/tsns motor structure?

i only got 3 9512s right now haha

and dont you mean 2607s? lol

The GZPW motor is simular looking but there are a huge differences. Its nothing like the old XXX and its kinda simular to the TSNS motors. I have two TSNS motors and the GZPW has a bigger gap and slightly bigger top plate. Plutos put TSNSs to shame, seriously. But yeah, I think you should do two T2000s and I also meant 2607s.

EDIT: I would put them 9500s on ebay if it were me.

  5. How many are we allowed to do? I've got a couple other designs in mind. But... I got these for ya. I can even give you the vector files if any of my designs get chosen.

EDIT: I hate photofukit, so much for high res.

DBL EDIT: I feel like a dbag now, just scanned the site looking for ideas and the mask print has already been done before as DCs t-shirt. My bad... back to illustrator

    And some more

    How about a T-shirt design using a DC T-shirt?

  6. The MTXs are very mainstream and are very well known. Selling them would be very easy and you'd still get quite a bit of $$ for them still. I would say three used MTX 9500s sold individually on ebay would bring more than enough to buy another T2000. This time of the year would be difficult to sell a blown XXX, might as well sit on it and build it up some time down the road. I got an 18" Ground Zero Plutonium I'll trade ya for all four of them there subs, It'll handle two 2610s. :spiteful:

  7. I believe there's two electrical systems in hybrids. The electrical system used to run the electric motor is its own system thats not really possible to tap into, it doesn't use the chassis as a ground. That and its somewhere between 50-100v depending on whose companies hybrid were talking about. And then there is an alternator driven by the electric motor that charges a single 12v battery and that little 12v system runs the rest of the cars electrical components. At least that's how the first old ugly ass honda hybrids were and i'm sure the technology has changed very little since then. The real question is can the electric motor of say a prius run an alternator that's bigger than stock without running into issues? I'm willing to guess a traditional HO alt wouldn't even work in a prius because if you sit with the car on, the motor shuts off instead of idling. Whats going to turn the alt then? I think there would be a clusterfuck of problems running a big system in a hybrid. The 150db smart car in Europe just used a battery bank, so they couldn't figure it out either.

I remember back in the day (which wasn't too long ago) when the first honda hybrids came out. They were discussing a highly efficient nearly self sustaining electric car that charged itself. It had two power supplies that it would switch back and forth from. When one battery bank was being used to drive the motor the other was charging, and it would switch back and forth. It was supposed to be crazy efficient buut, i'm sure someone wasn't going to make as much money with that idea so its gone. Stuff of the future...

  8. Here's a start, how bout some pics? Have you seen the other build logs on here? The very minimum would be to bombard us with build pics chief. And read some, you won't be winning SOTM with a W7 ever unless you have an absolutely incredible jaw dropping and creative install. I'm guessing your relatively new if your running JL anyways. Stay a while, read and look over this site a lot and you may win SOTM someday. But I would start with pictures! B)

  9. I know my 12" Solo X could handle 3500W all day long. But Solo Xs are very picky about enclosures. Haven't seen one yet that couldn't at least handle the RMS as long as the power was clean, and with the right enclosure you can easily stick more than RMS to it. I've got a Hifonics Brutus BXI-2610 I could sell you, it'll run that Solo X perfectly. PM me if your interested.

  10. There are 6 redtop mounted in the wheel well and one under the hood.

    0805100927c.jpg

Are those 34/78 Redtops? If so that a whopping total of 350AH battery bank with maybe 60amps coming from the alt? You could safely run about 3.5k for a little a while anyway. I hope stetsum denies your warranty when it blows. Is there at least a volt meter in the car? That's some lazy electrical for some decent equipment, takes power to make power chief.
