  1. it stoped doing it after i messed with the wires in the fuse holder so hopefully it dosnt happen again
  2. subs are good they sound good when amp is working never had any smell from the coil or anything its on the back of box and i have 1 of the seats down 80% of the time
  3. didn't look like there was any breaks in the wire but i did notice their was a little copper sticking out off the fuse holder so i covered it with electrical tape for now gunna have to see if the problem happens again 2 marrow hopefully that was just the problem though
  4. single 4 ohms ran parallel to 2 ohms
  5. ill have to see if i can barrow one from my friend is it possble that the amp isn't getting proper power becuase the power cable is pinched? becuase i just have it ran through door jam so it might be that the only other ting i can think of?
  6. just checked all the fuses they all look like new idk how it could be the ohm load because iv had it for like 4 or 5 months and everyting worked goodd till now
  7. the fuse on power cable from battery or the fuses on the amp?
  8. it got warm once this last weekend but had it on loud for a long time trying to get gains right to hopfully fix problem but then tonight on the way home from work it turned off f and when i got home i checked to see if it was warm and it wasn't at all it was still cold

  10. yea but i usualy only put it between 18- 23 depending on the song and it goes to 35
  11. the other day after it satrted happening i reconnected all the wires to the amp and checkd the ground their was still a little pint so i sanded it real good and reconected it but problem still occuring
  12. sometimes when im playing music my amp will turn off then on the protect light will be on then it will go back to normal and once it was off for probly 20inutes before it came back on. Tried to turn gain down a bit but but still it ocassionaly happens. its just a little 400 rms amp for 2 kicker comp subs. its a Couztic US-C 400 amp
  13. correct me if i'm wrong but what i think he means is that what someone else metered at could be different then way then someone else with the same sub becuase of the type of vehicle, the box, voltage, power and all that
  14. sorry but just wansn't sure because i would get 1 answer then somebody else would say like 40 for loudness and what not. so thanks for suming it up for me

  16. so your saying that tuned to 40 will be louder at 50 then if it were tuned to 30? sorry if that didnt make scence
  17. yea it will peak higher like at 40hz or something right? what do you mean no longer loaded by the air in the enclosure/port
  18. will the FS of the sub matter at all?
  19. not competing but still want it loud want lows to get low but still get a bit higher so it sounds good with music
  20. will 33 hz tuned still sound decent on like mid 50hz notes? and why do you say 40 for higher numbers
  21. what would be a good tuning frequency for a dc level 415" in around a 3.8 cubic foot box? (3.8 is what i got on the re calculator after having the port tuned to 33hz)

  23. what are the specs for an encloure on the lvl 4 xl 15?
  24. can someone help me figure out how to do this right dementions are 33 wide 28 deep 14 high port tuned around 33 hz thats about at large i can make it to fit in my trunk
